update: the magazines were getting caught on the mag-catch. I have no idea why, but the issue seems to have resolved itself... though i'm somewhat unnerved

I have a 9mm SP01 shadow. I read that the SP01 & 75B are magazine compatible - so I bought 5 cz 75b 9mm mags from greg cote. The mags don't fit - too fat at the top, gets stuck 80% of the way in. Everything I read said they were compatible....so where do i find 10rd cz sp01 shadow mags?

My thought was to use the factory barrel outright - but kneelingatlas has me thinking I should send the barrel & comp away to be drilled. I like the design of his stock 2 mod above - v ports in the comp and popple holes in the barrel....

is there a way (other than intuition/experience/testing) to come up with a good number of ports/holes for a given load?

That's awesome. Did you cut that yourself? Why do you expect more wear with this barrel? Because it will produce higher pressures and more recoil?

I've read a good bit saying that it's very hard to make major with 9mm in the TF Gold V12 barrel due to the large number of holes in the barrel. Has anyone tried running 9mm major ammo through the "factory" barrel? It only has the hole in the top of the compensator. Is that crazy?

Does anyone know how often/how many stock 2s arrive in the US and to which distributors or FFLs does EAA sends them? Seems like they're rarely sold new on gunbroker - so are they just not being imported, or are they pre-sold when the arrive at the FFLs? Does anyone have a good relationship with EAA to get more info?

Does anyone make a 2011-style grip with no grip safety? Seems like guns and grips with no grip safety would be cheaper to produce, and have fewer moving parts. Also seems like a number of people who compete deactivate their grip safeties, so there may be a market for it.

Seems like there's no way to acquire a limited custom xtreme in the USA. Anyone have a recommendation for a gunsmith that would make a a close approximation?

Who does good work on trigger jobs for Stock 2 or Stock 3 pistols?

I'm self-taught, and I have been shooting with my weak-hand finger on the trigger guard for several years. I've found that my weak-hand grip angle is much more comfortable for my wrist with my finger out on the trigger guard. However, when I shoot polymer pistols (PPQ, XDm), I've found it's hard to keep my finger in place - so I only do it for my metal-framed CZ & Tanfo.

Who does good custom work on Tanfoglios? I'm interested in having a couple of changes made to my limited - slide lightening, some anodizing, etc. Any info would be appreciated. Bonus points if you have pics of the smith's work!

If I understand correctly, Limited Pro is not allowed in IDPA, because the IDPA box is 8 3/4", and the Limited Pro is 9" long. http://eaacorp.com/portfolio-item/witness-elite-limited-pro/
