  1. I have a 2011 in need of some milling for installation of a red dot. Can anyone please recommend a reputable gunsmith in the Florida area. Thank you in advance.
  2. My apologies, it was wasn't Safariland but Bladetech. Bladetech used to have the spring loaded hood dont carry it any longer. Again, apologize for the misinformation.
  3. PVC stands are okay, cheap to make and replace but you will shoot them too pieces. Just make some put of scrap wood (for base use 2x4) and 1/2 x 1 vertical posts. Easy to assemble/disassemble and easy to move. Takes a beating before you have to replace. Cheap!!!!!. Drill holes and use 6" stakes if you wish. Had mine for over a year and they have been shot to hell and still work.
  4. King Competition. Foreign owned company, so prices are in euros but far surpieor to magnetic caddies by the more familiar manufacturers. Holds firm and releases smooth. Look them up on the internet. Good s**t.
  5. Carbon Arms buckle is the way to go. Easy to install and easier to use. I pulled a shoulder muscle trying to tighten by belt without it! Awful. Lol.
  6. Red Hill would be a good choice, probably just have to get used to the release action. But when I tired it at Rockcastle Pro-am there just isnt much room between the holster and the belt. Awkward.
  7. I still cant find a level 2 holster, spring release for a 6 " STI. Red Hill tactical has a hood but it isnt spring loaded/released. Safariland used to have one but ever since new management took over, all their things have gotten screwed up. I tried G-Code but that wont work either. I am about to just give up and sell my 6". What a pain.
  8. I am looking for a holster for a 6" STI sight tracker with a butler cut. I would like to have a thumb release as i shoot 3-gun and like that peace of mind. Bladetech used to carry one but they don't anymore. Thank you in advance.

  10. Just so you don't think I am crazy. The pictures I posted was just after a practice session. When I started the session the shotgun was clean.
  11. Thanks Jade. I am pretty good about cleaning it but I will again very thoroughly. I have ordered all the springs to replace so maybe that will work. Thanks for the advice.
  12. The shotgun isn't very old, maybe a year. Whatever the problem there is a fix as several packages for shotguns mention it but I just can't find out it is. I will try the above suggestions.
  13. Yes I have shot it. It runs majority of the time. The only time it doesn't is when this happens.
  14. I have a Benelli M2 and the bolt will stick back. When this happens the lifter is frequently in the lifted position and all I have to do is grab or nudge the bolt handle. I was reading the description of a shotgun for sale and it stated the fix for this problem was performed but I don't know what that fix is. Any help will be greatly appreciated. I have attached a couple pictures.
  15. Have a question about the legality of a short barrel rifle and can't find a specific answer on the net. I have a 10.3 inch upper with no comp on the barrel. I have a certified approved suppressor that is 6" long. While I am waiting for approval for my short barrel rifle can I put my suppressor on it, brining the length to the minimum 16" without pinning and welding the suppressor? I have been TOLD the only reason they pin and weld is to prevent someone from easily removing the break, becoming an instant felon. I don't want to pin and weld my suppressor but I don't want to break the law either. If someone can point me to facts and the law on this I would be greatly appreciated.
  16. Did I miss registration for the 3 Gun Regional events? I haven't seen or heard anything. Thanks in advance.
  17. Any good recommendations for a 3 gun holster for a 6" STI. I just got a 6" site tracker and need something for three gun that won't come out when I run. Thank you in a advance.
  18. All the ammo I use is factory. Today I used all federal 55gr. I wish I could reload but I simply don't have time. Probably would save me a bunch of money though.
  19. Okay thanks. I didn't realize some guns might not like certain kinds of ammo. I am new to all of this so any advice is great. Thanks a bunch.
  20. I did all that. Same ammo as JP's, mount is good, barrel not touching at all, free float handguard, etc. I thought about switching scopes on the different rifles. That might tell me a bunch right there.
  21. Okay, I need help from all you sharp, smart marksman out there. Sorry if this is wordy but I want to be as accurate as possible. I have three AR-15s that I primarily use. They are: a JP 18 with a Leupold Mark VX 1-6 multigun with AR gold trigger; a JP 16 with vortex razor HD Gen II with a AR gold trigger; and a 16 Daniel Defense with a Leupold Mark 6 1-6 and a Timney trigger. I have never zeroed any of these at a true 200 yard target, always approximated by utilizing a 50 yard zero. Well, this awesome range opened up near where I live, CMP of Talladega with an electronic target system with targets at 200, 300 and 600 yards. I shot my JP 16 first and a got a grouping of 29.9mm at 200 hundred, which 1.177 inches or 0.589 @ 100 yards (pic below for all rifles). I then shot my 18 JP with a grouping of 37.6mm @ 200 or 1.48 giving me 0.74 @ 100 yds. Now to the Daniel Defense. All these rifles are suppose to be MOA or better. Obviously the JPs performed great, especially since I have no idea what I am doing. But the best I could do with the DD was 255.4mm or 10.06 @ 200 yds or 5.03 @ 100 yds. I just dont get it. Is it possible the triggers could make that much of a difference? The JPs are approx. 2-2.5 lb pull and the timney is more like 3.5+ lb. I know it is a difficult question given all the possible variables but any advice or input would be appreciated. One more detail; all the rifles have approx 1000 rounds through them.
