Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. I know this thread is old, but in case someone finds it: I paid 800 for my RL1050 locally, came with some dies, brass 223 and 45acp and a brass tumbler. I spent the money to buy a few missing parts and a conversion to 223 and have never looked back.
  2. I own the old RL1050, a 650 and a 550. The 1050 works great and is a great design, like others have posted the priming system is the weakest link, but with that said, having swaging and a priming on the downstroke make it all worth it. I load 223 on it. There is a learning curve to getting the machine to run smooth. The 650 is also a great press in my opinion. I will be selling my 550 so I can finance another 650 so I can have a dedicated machine for large primers.
  3. The 550/650 and 650 only mounts are in fact different, with different holes drilled in the side. I have both presses. This has definitely fallen through Dillon's crack. As the manual and website for the 650 has not been updated to reflect their lack of drilling or puching the extra holes. If you want the bullet tray to be level like it's pictured then you have to drill an extra hole or buy the 550/650 mount. The 550/650 mount also has two sets of holes on the top horizontal to accommodate both presses.https://drive.google.com/file/d/0Bz6r093SLjpdem1JMUNSRExJczJTUVFUWjhhV0FDb005TWlj/edit?usp=sharing https://drive.google.com/file/d/0Bz6r093SLjpdZF93WU92cGJGNDBJRGtJdUFTb3NIYnp0dDBB/edit?usp=sharing
  4. OK great one down, so I can assume that Dillon does not offer the proper adapter anymore?
  5. Hello, I have searched and not found anything to fix these issues. This is my Third dillon press I have a 55, 650 and now this RL1050 which I purchased incomplete, basically I got the press. I am attempting to install a case feeder and a caliber conversion kit for 223. First issue is that the case feeder bowl seems to be rotated about 15 degrees to the left, so the tube sits at an angle. I saw one post about this on the dillon forum but no solution. Second the cas feed tube adapter seems to be indexed 180 degrees off. The cut out to pass the brass is facing me when installed and not facing the shellplate. Anyone ever heard of this? Did I receive the wrong parts or I am I doing something wrong?
