  1. I was actually fixing to order a set of these but i think i will wait until they come out with a better mounting system. I love everything i have form DAA. Cant wit for them to find a fix for this.
  2. disappointing he doesn't make them anymore but i understand. I am wanting one the has the hood but will take a gun with the thumb rest. I don't shoot open but I do run a thumb rest on my limited guns in uspsa and would like to do the same with 3 gun.
  3. i used dry hands for a while and it worked well but turned everything white. i have recently switched to pro grip. I don't think it keeps my hand as dry but it doesn't turn everything i touch white.
  4. i bought mine off of amazon, its just a roller blade binding. I think i gave like $10 for a 2 pack from amazon.
  5. wow $1800??? There is a guy out of Georgia that comes to matches called hEARpro. I have his custom molded plugs and love them. He also offers the same ones with bluetooth for $200. Im curios if anyone has them. Would like to know the quality of the speakers.
  6. The fiber isn’t used to shoot with. It’s used to get your attention on the sights faster and then line them up. It’s just a speed thing. That’s why it doesn’t bother a lot of people when it somes out.
  7. I was afraid of that. Figured you might get enough gas to work the comp but I would imagine you would need a really heavy recoil spring.
  8. That’s interesting. I’ve never been to a match where you didn’t have to reset. I did shoot ft benning 3 gun last year and it was optional. Just didn’t feel right not helping.
  9. When i was looking i was torn between the 511, GPS and the DDA packs. I researched them all and even seen the 511 and GPS on the range. I ended up going the DDA route. Ill be honest it is one of my favorite purchases i made. I went with the medium because the large was just so big. I will say this, had i went with another one and then seen the DDA on the range i would have immediately sold whatever i had to buy the DDA. the quality of the stitching, material and the compartments are truly on a different level.
  10. sounds like i need to adjust my load data for mine
  11. It all a matter of personal preference. personally i like a flat trigger.
  12. if you are wanting a curve then you can use a sanding drum on a dremel, as im sure you know just be careful and dont go to far. if you want it flat then just use a file or sand paper until you get the length you are looking for. i finished mine with 800 grit and it came out pretty nice.
  13. I shoot slow/ heavy bullets in mine. But i have been wondering if a hotter load would work the comp better. Has anyone tried something closer to 9mm major in these guns?
  14. I have to say its pretty cool. Now, because i am ignorant on the subject, why would you need to sort brass by weight?
  15. I have Black scorpions not and they work just ok. I don't care for how you occasionally can lose a mag if running to hard so i have been looking at the race masters myself. It seems everyone i shoot with who has them love them and have nothing but good things to say about them. Personally i will go with the race masters over the racers because material. I just haven't had great lock with plastic.
  16. I was afraid of that! I guess its better than going home but definitely Just easier to make sure you make PF haha
  17. isn't there a rule that the walls have to support a shooter leaning on it? Seems like PVC wouldn't do that. I could be way off, but thought someone told me that once.
  18. Years ago before I started reloading I had some UMC 115g and it would shoot 120-123 pf through my Glock 17 with a lone wolf barrel. I would definitely check it. I don't know what they do at a major if you don't at least make minor PF but I don't think i would want to chance it.
  19. agreed with Jack. I started shooting uspsa in January and Just made A class last two weeks ago. I did it because i shot my classifiers the same way i would shoot my stages. I didn't hero or zero them. instead shot as fast as i could and still call my shots.
  20. You can’t go wrong with either Dawson or tti pads. I run the tti 4mm pads on my match mags and the Dawson on my practice mags. All fit the gauge. Be sure to read on the Dawson website. They make a few different ones and the SNL they sell may require minor modifications to your mags.
  21. I was taught to start at 5 yards. once you can do that move to 6 and then 7. It is really a tough drill that i still struggle with. I was also told to start and end every practice session with it. i usually do 6 -9 dots at the start and then again at the end. At 7 yards it really get tough especially if you are using a par time. if you are doing it at an indoor range start from a low ready. you can even incorporate table starts. Just adjust the par time to allow it. How you start doesn't really matter as the point of the drill is to get you on your sights.
