Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. Inforce WML-X. We shot Starlight 3-Gun last fall and were the brightest lights at the match. http://inforce-mil.com/
  2. I have been running this one for the first 1/2 of the year and will continue to beat the crap out of it. Hasn't failed me yet. https://www.midwestindustriesinc.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=category.display&category_ID=1266
  3. The Nordic follower is a no brainer! I've run them since day 1!
  4. I am looking forward to this 2-year format. Shut up An - you don't have the stamina for a 2 year match. Round count should be 125-150 per gun for day 1 which is the match format. Day two would depend upon how far you make it in the shootoff.
  5. We are holding the 2nd annual Jeff Kirkwold Memorial 3-Gun this August in Forest Lake, MN which is the same site that we hold the Nordic Match. Check it out - last year we had a single day format, and this year we're doing a 2 day. http://www.jkm3g.com/ Love to have you there.
  6. Brian's got it right - Arnzen Arms' service will impress anyone who should choose to give them a shot.
  7. For a long time I didn't give Midwest Industries the time of day, but have become a huge fan thanks to their new Gen II SS, and Lightweight handguards. Both are super slim, lightweight, and very tough. I've been throwing them in barrels for the last 2 seasons and have been very happy. http://www.midwestindustriesinc.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=category.display&category_ID=1266 If i had to pick a close second it would be the SLR - one of the only handguards that is nice and slim in the 16.5" length. http://slrrifleworks.com/index.php?route=product/product&path=66_106_71&product_id=392
  8. Charles, Are there any more details about the match? I saw details about the foundation but not much about the match/format/slots/stages.
  9. The Viper is sweet - battery life is amazing.

  11. Kurtm & Trapr have semi-auto shotgun lube down to a simple science. I squadded with them at 2014 Nordic shotgun match in MN where we shot in mud, rain, and sand. Their shotguns ran flawlessly and I was impressed after talking with them about their lube method.
  12. I'd be cautious to say it is "the fastest lock time on the planet" without proof. Seems silly to say something like that without getting a high speed camera on it. "We've had enough experts tell us that it has to be the fastest lock time there is" just isn't enough to me.
  13. I've got the 2-2 Flat in my new build for this upcoming season. It is really nice - the first stage is very smooth and the wall is definitive, 2nd stage breaks just under 2 and is a very crisp, clean break. The reset on it is about 2x as long as the single stage but that's just the nature of the beast. I'll mainly use that rifle on long range matches with shots past 300 and at a couple DMR shoots. I've been really pleased with both and I think I've got CMC in every match rifle I own now.
  14. Aside from the issue mentioned above, I want to stress the importance of durability and functionality. The CMC isn't the lightest trigger, doesn't have the shortest reset on the market, but it performs....for 10s of 1,000s of rounds it performs. The lack of complexity yields a trigger that you just can't make fail. That and I personally like their flat trigger design with a shoe at the bottom to ensure exact finger pad placement shot after shot. I've seen too many mag dumps and ADs with lighter, more finicky triggers to stray from CMC. JM2C
