Shot trap for the first time this weekend!!!! LOVED IT!!! The first round I hit 7-8 then on the second round i hit 18 then sucked up the third round 11....Still had fun!!!

Ranger I bought the same shot-gun and love it also for the price and craftman ship in the gun you can not beat it!!!

Bought a berreta A391....Tried skeet on sunday and monday!!! It is soo much fun!!!

I hate the fact that I have to work on saturday and it is sunny...When I don't have to work it rains!!!!!!!!

Here is my problem I was taking my SVI open pistol apart to clean it and tried to take the extractor out....Then found it would not go past the breach face, the claw on the extractor hits the brach face. The caliber is .38 supercomp how do I get it out....I just want to clean it out and get all the junk out of there...Any help would be appreciated... Later B

Yes the SWC will rock those pins off that table...I use a Kimber .45 with with Moly SWC and don't have any problem with puns...Just keep those mags clean if I don't my gun has a tendency to jam.... Didn't Monocacy Pistol club also say they were going to shoot steel this past sat also? Just wondering there schedual said they were!!

Jeepers.....God I wish I could move back!!!!!! I was just out visiting family. Looks I like the cuts in the side of the slide!!!! The mat frame against the polished slide is cool too!!

HotDog What ever you do....Do one thing at a time ie. the spring then shoot the gun then change the OAL. This will help narrow the problem.....I think that the biggest problem maybe the case...My .40 will not shoot anything except winchester or starline cases. These are the only two brands that I don't have any issues with. My 38 super I only use starline brass in and have no problems at all....KNOCK ON WOOD NOW PLEASE!!!! \ Later Bryan

I could try and help you with this as I have had a problem with one of my other pistols in .40....Are you using your own loaded amo or are you using store bought amo? So tightloop what would you consider a REAL pistolsmith?.........Didn't everyone have to start somewhere? Do you consider a real pistolsmith one that makes his living at it! I never claim or am making a claim to be a pistolsmith I just simply hate the fact that soooooooo many people are scared to try something because it seem to be too hard or out of there relm of experience. Just remeber this if you never live life and try you will live and die in the same town you were born and no one will remeber you past your funeral!!! Later

Zhunter Don't be too you could do it if you tried.....Many many times in my life people have told me I was crazy to trying something and for the most part I am, but this is one thing with sometime and effort you can do....I have built about 7 pistols now and they all run great from L10, Limited and Open class. As many have stated the timing and barrel fitment are the hardest, but if you take your time and get the right tools you can and will make it happen....Now it took me about 8 months to get the first one right but now that I have 6 more under my belt I have that down to about 1 month. The only thing that saves me is my father owns a machine shop and I grew up making billet parts, polishing and porting heads for race engines. So when it comes to machining somthing it is no problem. Even if you don't know any machinest get to know one in you area it will help if you need something cut or milled......Just remeber BEN FRANKLIN,and WRIGHT BROTHERS, were all told they were crazy and look what they did.....

That is a very good question.... I don't have a clue as to acuall hours but I do know that anytime I want to build something it usually goes in stages ie..The receiver then the trigger then the slide to the receiver etc...Most of the time it is due to waiting for parts.......When you get it together in the white it is just plating that takes some time after that....I think you are asking a question that really has no real answer....Its like Davinchi how long will it take to paint a masterpeice? Just my 2cents!!!

This is the whole thing about custom pistols that drives me nuts....Here is one that will frip your lid...I order my SV open pistol and it took 3 weeks to get to me ,I think my order was close to someone else who canceled this was why it only took 3 weeks...Now I ordered a blued Kimber GOLD METAL MATCH and it took 8 weeks to arrive at my local dealer then when I got it they didn't checker the front strap like I ordered..All the time telling me that it was leaving the next day then next week yada yada yada ....drove me nuts...I think this just happens to some of us you get lucky and sometimes you don't.....Now I just buy frames... took the time to learn how to build what I want....Now I just need to learn how to blue and I will be able to make them look pritty.....
