Looks like a slightly more expensive STI recoil master. You know, the recoil system most people swap out of their guns right away? Multi spring recoil systems feel "stage-y" and inconsistent to me, especially when trying to track the front sight, but YMMV.

Yup...That seems to be the answer Anything better than a Dawson ICE for a mag well? And I've seen some with slide rackers That might be handy....or might be a knuckle buster! LOL!! Better? Maybe more unique or cool looking, but nothing I can really think of, functionality and price wise. IMO, a slide racker would probably be distracting to me, but would be nice for a unloaded table start. Props the gun up to get a better grip faster. You would have to have a hell of a high grip to bust your knuckles on one though!

I'm assuming you fired the gun with your right hand only to make sure your left hand isn't bumping it up? Have you checked with a loaded mag in the gun, with the slide off, to see if the nose of the bullets are bumping the slide lock?

Check to make sure your sear spring is properly installed and the left leg is on TOP of the the sear instead of under it.

For .40 I'd get the edge. If you were to do 9mm, I'd say Eagle.

Hit or miss on non SV guns or hit or miss in terms of general relaibility? From a few people that I talked to about it, they said, sometimes the tuning/modification process work on new SV tube, and sometimes you strike out.

From what I know, old SV mags work in old SV guns and non SV guns. New SV mags work in new SV guns but need modification for non SV guns and can be pretty hit or miss. I get a reliable and easily reloadable 20 rounds in my old SV tubes with TTI guts. I can almost get 21 in but my springs are pretty new and might need a break in.

The two parallel holes are really close together and I don't think a Burris FF or RMR have mounting holes that close together and they don't look threaded. They remind me of the holes used to retain the springs in a Bomar adjustable sight. It looks like the furthest hole towards the muzzle is the only hole that is threaded, which is quite bizarre. Could be for some weird RDS adapter plate?

I just use warm water and dish soap with an old toothbrush then use an air compressor to dry. Edit: Might as well post up my SiC grips. 2 part Marine Epoxy and 80 grit SiC. Those look very nice. I am about to try some 80 on another project. I have been using 36. Actually, I did not remember the grit correctly. I just looked it up and I used 60 grit, not the 80 grit.

Not sure about the .40 specifically, but I would chrono it to make sure you meet powerfactor. Last I remember, some of their 9mm weights dropped below minor PF. It seems that they kind of slacked off on the QC department and started skimping on powder charges to keep up on supply with their growing demand.

If you are loading your cartridges long, there is enough clearance in the mag so they don't drag on the tube and slow down right? What are you running for mags and what springs? I am assuming you are using 170mm mags? Do you notice the problem getting worse as the mag has less or more rounds in it?

1. Yes 2. Yes 3. Yes For the Zev trigger, you are safer to go from a .40 ejector to 9mm, than a 9mm ejector to a .40.

Oh yeah! Also check the inside of the mag to see if there is any plastic "flashing" or over molded spots where the polymer protrudes into the the mag causing an obstruction.

Are you using fairly new extended springs? Are you using a loading device to help load them?I used a LULA loader to get mine to full capacity then let them sit for a while and worked the spring by loading to capacity and unloading over and over and that seemed to help after I beveled the followers.

How old is your son? If you think he's old enough, I'd even suggest building one with him. He will remember that experience and have the gun as a physical reminder forever.

My speedcross 3s probably wont bump me to GM, but I feel WAY safer when stopping hard on worn out gravel. I'd always slide a little bit or lose my footing with my Merrils, but the Salomons stay planted a bit better. Plus, I loved the speedlace system so much, I chucked my old everyday shoes for a nice green pair of XA 3D Ultra 2s.

The only downside is creating enough space on your wall for all of your future "father of the year" awards.

That happened to me until I beveled the bottom edges of the follower. Sometimes they would get snagged between the transition of the basepads and mag tube.

Oh yeah! Forgot about that. Installation took sub 5 minutes to install front and back and even swapping out the rod for a green fiber optic.

Never had that happen with any of the sights I've installed. And I get straight medieval with mine with a vice and punch... No idea how that even happens with that specific sight pusher either. Sucks they wont help you out in any way.

I like using the TTI springs personally. Helps give the mag a little more juice when dropping as well.
