I am building a 300 AAC Blackout with a 8.5 inch barrel that will have a Surefire muzzle brake on the end. I will will be attaching a Surefire suppressor on it as soon as the suppressor is approved. I plan to put a 11" rail on the SBR. I was wondering what would happen if my hand was near the muzzle brake while on the rail. The gun will mainly be shot suppressed but I would like the option of shooting non-suppressed as well. I was just wonder the effects of the blast on my hand. So far my only plan is to put a hand stop so my hand doesn't go past the end of the muzzle brake. Has anyone came ran accross this situation or have any advise to offer? I am looking to have the suppessor stick out of the rail by only a couple inches.
