Very pleased to have Mr. Johnson as our new AC! Its about time we had someone that will do the job. We run a small club in Fort Bragg CA with only enough room for about 4 stages. Wayne and John answered our invitation and traveled to our back-o-beyond club to shoot with us for the day. I think the fact that they were willing to come visit our club with no obligation whatsoever to do so, shows that Mr. Johnson will be an excellent AC!! See you at the Western!

OK, so I was watching 2014 Tulsa Nationals on YouTube and if you go to time 3:20 on this video, you will see something very strange. How were those ppl allowed to be there taking pictures?!?! Pardon me if this has been hashed out already...

Yeah, I didn't notice until after it was over. The MD came over and said the shooter was to receive a PE and I just need to pay more attention. Now that I see the actual ruling I am going to bring it up at the Sunday match. As an SO I should already know that. I guess in the heat of the moment the specifics of the rule book like to leave the brain...

So a couple of guys showed up late to our local "Twilight" match last night and I was SO'ing on stage 2. The long and short of it is that I let the first guy run the CoF with his eye protection still on his hat and not on his face. He gets a PE for it and I just feel like an ass! I feel like I should be the one to get the PE and not him. Shouldn't there be some kind of penalty for SO's that screw up like this?? I apologized to him and shook his hand. Said I'm glad he still has both his eyes... But I can't stop thinking about it...

I just got a pair of 5.11 Taclite Pro Pants and the rear pockets are cut in a diagonal shape that meets the reciprocated angle of the same side front pocket. You can practically drop the mag into these pockets. It creates an almost perfect circular motion of stowing the mag, to acquiring the fresh mag to inserting the mag into the weapon. Since getting these pants and practicing with them, I have increased the speed of my rwr by leaps and bounds. This works the best for me.

That's weird because in the email, right after they announce the removal of FFR's, they provide a link to the rule clarifications. When you follow that link, the clarifications just talk about pivoting... Very confused.

Can someone help me out here... I went to the link for rule clarifications, and it says you still have to pivot with one foot always remaining on the ground.. Isn't this the way it was before? or were you not allowed to move any feet before? what has changed?

This is for a club level IDPA match. In real life you don't know when "something has been activated" and just trying to be innovative.

Just wondering if anyone can point me to some good info about motion sensor activated targets, magnetic switch activation etc... I want to be able to activate moving targets without having to shoot something to do it. We have an outdoor range and I want to try and set up a simulated indoor scenario, in the dark. using sheets of plywood and black pond liner for the roof. I want to have some kind of motion sensor that activates our rolling target. Any ideas or links would be awesome, thanks.
