  1. I have searched and heard both yes and no regarding springer Precision basepads working with CZC IPSC Magwell on a CZ 75 TS.  I contacted Springer and they said they cannot guarantee compality?  Is anyone currently using SP basepads with CZC IPSC Magwell?  Thanks

  2. I’m looking at picking up a Witness Elite Stock 2 elite in .40 SW to shoot limited in USPSA.  Are they pretty flat shooting?   I have a Shadow 2 in 9mm but Production is too much mag changes for me lol.  I was leaning towards a CZ 75 TS in .40 but I have heard great things about the Stock 2.  Anybody shoot both and have the pros and cons of both?  Thanks

Also in GA, what's the name of the dealer in SC?  Lok grips +1, have a pair on my Shadow 1.

Frontline Arms in Pickens, SC.  He has a good supply of most CZ pistols.

I just loaded some rounds using recipe above due to great price on the 147 extreme rn.  The round shoots and feels great.

Thanks.  I have heard good stuff about the 135 gr Bayou projectiles so I will give that load a try.

  6. I honestly  don't know.  I uninstalled the larger safety and reinstalled it again and everything worked.  So I did something wrong that first time but I am not sure what.  I am a rookie gunsmith.

  7. I just changed the safety on my S2 to the larger one the pistol comes with.  Things were going fine but now I am having trouble getting the slide back on the pistol.  Any tips or suggestions?

  8. I just got my CZ Shadow 2 today.  I had to go to SC from GA as a dealer in Pickens, SC of all places as he had a stack of Shadow 2s in stock.  Paid $1179 so was happy about that.

My question is are their wider grips available?  They also had a tactical orange in stock and the grips on it seemed wider as I believe it is on a different frame.

  9. CR Speed belt is the best IMO and well worth the money. The CR Speed WSM holster is well worth the money. I was able to find a good used one for $100.00. I started with a cheaper holster and I should have got the good stuff to begin with. It is worth it in the long run.

  10. You can use it in production as long as it has the LDA trigger. I have never shot one but I have heard good things about them and have considered getting one myself. I use to have a P14-45 LDA and I liked the trigger but some people don't. I think it would be a good choice for production.

  11. When they sold them, the Caspian glock slides were $165 vs Glock's price of $265.

Just a head's-up, the caspians were not made to OEM spec in several areas. And, once they stopped production they sold some old inventory that should've never made it into inventory, should've been QC rejects.

You are right about Caspian selling some slides that they should not have. I got a 24 slide from them that was out of spec in a few areas but thanks to the work of the "Mad Scientist" the gun now runs like a dream.

  12. I ordered a G24 from TopGlock and had it 8 days after I placed the order. I would give them a call again and ask to speak to someone who has some authority. I have ordered several times from TG and never had any problems. Good luck.

  13. I had a 35 and once I shot my 24 I got another one as a backup gun. The 24 makes a excellent limited gun. With a 15 lb. spring and some major PF reloads it is a very flat shooting pistol. I have a hand fit KKM barrel in my 24 and it is very accurate. A Dawson/Heinie sight set is also a great way to improve a Glock. If you have not shot a 24 do so and see how you like it. The six inch barrel makes for a nice shooting gun. Less recoil than the G35 IMO.

  14. I have dealt with the people at Storm Lake and they are good people. Give Adam a call and I am sure that he will replace that barrel. It is defective. That is my understatement for the day.

  15. I would go with the Glock because they are so easy to work on and modify. I love all my Glocks. I have never shot an XD. Stick with what you know. I recently tried to diversify my collection and it bite me in the butt. I bought a CZ 75 TS and it is a great gun. It is very accurate but I prefer my 24. So I am gonna sell the CZ and get another 24. Nothing wrong with the CZ or XD, Glocks just work for me.

  16. I don't have an open gun myself...yet. But I have shot an SJC open gun and it was a tack driver with a great trigger job. SJC makes great open Glocks. That would be a great route to go. I judt bought a 17 that I plan to hand over to SJC so they can make it into an open gun for me.

    thanks.

what im trying to gauge is how competitive are these guns. ive only shot one glock that was sort of set up for open. it had a doctor sight but shooting minor ammo. no one in my area is shooting a glock open so i was hoping to gauge how well the shooters on the board are doing w/ theirs.

You will have no problem being competitve with an SJC open gun. They are reliable and well built and you can shoot minor or major PF with them no problem. If you have detailed questions send username Mad Scientist a PM. This is the guy that builds them. He will answer all your questions.
