  1. They hold 21 rounds with the new bases but the follower gets stuck in the bottom. Functions ok with 20.
  2. I got the Para bases (the ones I linked in a previous post above) in the mail today. They fit the mag and gun good without any modification and stick out more than the factory or aftermarket ones. Again, right is the factory mag, middle is the aftermarket, and left is with the new Para extended pads (link in one of my previous posts). They say they do not add any capacity, I didn't try yet but I think they might.
  3. There was a slight difference in the mag tubes. The front of the factory mags was cut a little lower than the others. I thought by cutting/sanding to match it might lock back. I cut one of the mags to see but it still doesn't lock the slide back. I can get the slide to lock back if I push the mag up and hold it while pulling the slide back. The aftermarket mags do not lock in high enough to engage the slide stop. Here are pictures of the mags. The right is the factory mag, the middle is the other mag the way they come, the left is after sanding the top corner to try and match the factory mag.
  4. Went back to the range again this afternoon...still no problems. I'm pretty sure I can modify the mag to get the slide to lock back when empty. I will post before and after pics if it works.
  5. Just got home from the range, they function great! They don't lock the slide when empty but I have 2 more mags now and can use it for 3gun and USPSA. Here is the link, https://getbattleready.us/product/magazines/
  6. Yeah I checked the factory mags then and they rattle too. Do the Dawson's add any capacity?
  7. So far so good! A little sanding and they lock right in and drop free, They function by hand but the slide does not lock back on the empty mag. I can live with that for now. I actually sanded a little too much. The empty mag rattles in the gun. If you take your time sanding you could probably get a snug fit and eliminate the rattle. The bottom of the mag sits pretty flush with the magwell. The Para baseplates I ordered look longer but I'll have to see when they get here. Next step is live fire. Factory mag on right, middle is sanded to fit, and left one is the way they came.
  8. The tubes look almost identical to the factory mags. They fit but will not lock in because the base plate stops them from going up any further. The tube alone snaps into place and drops free. These are the baseplates I ordered, https://www.gunpartscorp.com/ad/1371120.htm#1371120 they are not here yet so I guess I'll take the baseplate that came with the mag out in my shop and see if I can belt sand the correct angle to match the magwell. I'd try the factory bases but I can't get them off and I don't want to risk breaking them.
  9. One of the other threads said that the mags from BattleReady work if you change the base. I ordered a couple and some pads from another link. The mags just came. I'll report back as soon as I get a chance to try them.
  10. TripleK does not know if either of their 9mm Para mags will work in a PC 18.9.
  11. I just tried to call TripleK. There customer service isnt open yet, gotta call back in 15 minutes. I was going to ask about this one, http://www.triplek.com/Products/id/38/grp/412/prd/1010/ but will also ask about the 20+1 mag they list too.
  12. BluePuma, That's what I was told.
  13. I ordered one. I think I'll have to modify it to get it to work with the stock magwell but I'll give it a shot. Haven't heard a thing from MBX. It came in yesterday. It's just a bit shorter and wouldn't fit into the magwell and lock with their baseplate. I put the factory base plate (I'm running Arredondos on my factory mags) on it and went right in and by hand feeds 19 rounds very smoothly. Sits just too low to lock the slide back. I'll update when I get a chance to shoot it but I think it'll be fine. Woo Hoo, 3 mags!!Dogtired, thanks for the lead. Got time to shoot the new mag last night. It's a go! Put 100 rounds through it with no issues at all. It's a bit loose in the gun when empty and does sit too low to hold back but it functions 100%. I ordered a second one since I had another factory baseplate left. I think I'm GTG until MBX gets theirs debugged and on the market. Thanks everyone for all the help and advice. I just ordered a couple of these mags and some of these bases, I hope they work. https://www.gunpartscorp.com/ad/1371120.htm#1371120
  14. I called Para a couple days ago. The story I got was that Para would not sell remington the copyrights so they can not make them. The guy told me STI 140's made after 2012 would work. Mags made before 2012 require modification to work. I called STI tech support and left a detailed message asking if they knew anything about this but didn't hear back yet.
  15. Awesome match Dean and staff! Loved shooting from the roof and the walls on the first stage were fun. It was really fun! I loved being able to use my AR pistol too! Looking forward to one in January. I posted videos from today on my Facebook page and 2 people want me to let them know next time one of these matches is going on. I'll post a video here if I can get it to upload.
