I just got the carbine version, it fits good and clamps on tight. Only problem I had was charging handle interference and had to trim 3/4" off the cheek piece. Depending on the height you like the cheek piece set at, that may not be a problem for you.

No, it's my own throw lever. I made a few aluminum levers for the PA 1-6x and they happened to fit the Vortex as well. Looks nice, what do you think about the eye relief? I have an astigmatism and with glasses its corrected, however, I am also right handed and left eye dominant. I need to get used to shooting both eyes open with the scope. With an Aimpoint I don't realy have an issue, but it's just a little more difficult with the scope. Eye relief is better than I expected. On 6x the eye box is kinda finicky, but on lower magnification it's pretty forgiving.

I've been running 125gr at 1000fps and that works well for me. Haven't felt the need for a higher PF.

I'm loading 125gr bullets for an M&P Pro, a G34, and a G19. The same load will average 1050fps in the G34, 1035fps in the M&P, and 1000fps in the G19.

I've seen the same thing happen on two different occasions. Most definitely a DQ.

My dog is ok with the UPS guy but he absolutely hates FedEx and the mailman. He goes into a full alert, I want to eat their faces off, bark on those two . The mailman won't even come to our door anymore, he just leaves packages on the edge of the porch and gets back in his car as quick as he can. 100 pounds of crabby, barking Presa Canario tends to scare people off.

I use a GoPro bolted to a hat. It doesn't look very cool or sleek, but the video quality is good. The camera is light enough that I don't even know it's there.

It's definitely worth checking with local fab shops. There are some of us around that don't advertise targets, but have the material and equipment to produce them. I make all the steel for my club and sell some targets locally, but don't have the time to deal with online orders and shipping. I can sell waterjet cut AR500 cheaper than most online retailers are selling laser or plasma cut targets. Look for shops that have a waterjet or laser and you might be pleasantly surprised.

What part of the country are you in? What you paid is about a 50% markup over what I buy AR500 for. Just curious what market you are in.

AR400 will work well, shooting it with .40 and 9mm it should last forever.

I just bought a few sheets of AR500 yesterday. Currently it only costs about $0.30 per pound more than mild steel. If you're putting forth the time and effort to make targets, the little extra you spend on AR over mild steel is money well spent.

I build quite a few targets. Cutting method is fairly important, waterjet is best (that's what I use), laser is second, and plasma third. AR400 will last pretty much forever shooting it with pistols, anything getting hit with rifles needs AR500. 3/8" thick will work for most applications but I do step up to 1/2" when I'm shooting .338 or bigger. Put some thought into how the rifle targets are mounted, the easier they move the longer they will last. As stated earlier, make the rifle targets 4MOA or larger and your shooters will be happy.

I used a 2-8x Nikon last season. It worked ok, but I will be switching to a 1-6x for next season. Having a little more magnification is nice at 300+ yards, but I do prefer 1x for close stuff.

What kind of results? 128pf @ 30deg F. from my 5" M&P Pro. I haven't sat down at the bench to shoot groups, but I'm hitting 4" plates at 25 yards consistently in practice sessions.

I'm using 3.9gr of HP-38 with a 125gr Blue Bullet at 1.135" oal and getting good results.

Yep, that's the one. I had a flash target in Sketchup that I broke down and modified into a spinner. Worked out well.

I'm a Fabricator and do everything from concept to finished product. Design, engineer, program and run the cnc equipment, do the manual machining, weld, finishing, and assembly.

If all you are using it for is stage design, the free version works fine. Just Google "Sketchup" and download from there.

I've used them around 30 degrees and while slower than normal, they worked ok. Biggest issue I have when it's cold is the router. It lives in our unheated storage shack and when the temp gets below 40 degrees it tends to stop working and I can't sync.
