Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. Can you describe the installation? Does the sleeve fit over the barrel nut but under the handguard?
  2. Yes, I saw that barrel nut on the Smoke Composites website, but the outer diameter of the nut seems smaller than the ID of the handguard so I wondered if there was another metal sleeve that mounts to the nut that in turn to the handguard. Still a bit puzzled.
  3. Thank you ABQ and Rolex. I have seen pictures of the Isler mount so I think I understand it. How does the Smoke mounting system work? The barrel nut appears to be low profile. I am imagining that there must be another sleeve that mounts to the barrel nut...
  4. Do you think the Smoke handguard is stiff enough to run with a bipod for precision rifle?
  5. I like the quality of them. Here is one person's solution to get to proper weight. I have not yet tried this method, but it looks like a reasonable approach. http://www.stu-offroad.com/firearms/practice/practice-1.htm
  6. These:. http://www.stactionpro.com/12-gauge-action-trainer-p-8.html
  7. Does anyone have experience with more than one various competing parts: Matchsaverz Taccom Stage Saver Shooters Source "One shot shotgun shell holder" (Carbon Arms website) Any preferences one over another?
  8. I think they mean with the nose all the way through the elastic, not necessarily all the way to the rim.
  9. My suggestion would be to buy your Dad an 870 or an SXP pump, (or better yet, a used Win 1300 or FN police pump), then save up to get whatever gas gun you decide on for play.
  10. Wow, thank you very much for the picture. I found three pieces: spring, spring guide rod and ferrule. Your picture confirms that I got it back together correctly. I really appreciate the response.
  11. I was reassembling my SLP after a detail clean and had a spring and perhaps some other small parts fly off which, so far, I have been unable to find. The exploded view schematics aren't clear enough for me to see what all may be missing. Does anyone happen to have a picture of the left side of the SLP or SX2/SX3 trigger group? I am missing my carrier spring and I think some other small parts. Irritated and most embarrassed... r7s
  12. Impressive! I need something like that to replace my model 70's cool thin steel butt plate...
  13. I'd be afraid to try in on my SLP. Don't know what would happen...
  14. I don't think you give up much by sticking with low recoil slugs and buck. If you check out the ATK law enforcement site, you will see that the low recoil versions often equal or exceed the performance of the full power loads.
