Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. With the RP9 mags fitting, it surprises me they are that long/deep. Most 9mm/40 models of anything have much shallower mags to fit the shorter cartridges. The 1911 was always the exception since it started as .45acp. Nice to know. Thanks for the update. Sent from my SM-N900P using Tapatalk
  2. The Valor is an awesome 1911, and still probably the best bargain as far as price and quality coming together. I got lucky and picked mine up hardly used for $995 a few years ago. Sent from my SM-N900P using Tapatalk
  3. Is there a way to contact him for work and find out what he can do? Through the factory or him directly? After reading some of the links, it appears that a person can supply him the parts they want him to use our maybe he does it on his own. Sent from my SM-N900P using Tapatalk
  4. Thanks for the responses. Refinishing voiding the warranty is a big put-off. I wonder what other parts replacement might do the same. Sent from my SM-N900P using Tapatalk
  5. I'm considering a HC model in .40 or 10mm. I looked at Para for years and never got around to it with any of their models. Ready to move forward now, so trying to do a little research on my options. My goal is to have a 10mm, but if I have to have a 10mm barrel fitted to a .40 factory model that's fine. I like the .40 PRO Match Ultra due to the 5" barrel and checkered front strap, even though I'll likely never shoot .40 S&W. I wish it had the rail cuts like the 10mm, but I can settle for now. It seems like people have had hit or miss luck with them so I'll cross my fingers. Seems some have had really bad luck with these and even the factory replaced the whole gun at times, and others nothing but high praises. Questions: I've read that I can get the dust cover milled. Anyone know who does this? I read that the slidestop causes problems, but again, easy fix or replacement. What are some aftermarket makes that best match factory finish? Same with the safety? What ramp style does RIA use? Can the factory mag funnel be removed? How is it attached? What will I be left with? Anyone have any pics with it removed? Are there any particular gunsmiths that will work on these models? Thanks in advance. Sent from my SM-N900P using Tapatalk
