  1. .What weight bullet was you using before trying the 135 bayou? I have shot them for almost 2 years and love them but have been thinking of trying the 125TC that bayou has. I have heard that they are really accurate
  2. Have you compared the 124 bayou with the 135 bayou? If so what's the differences and which did you like? Thanks for the info as well.
  3. Has anyone used a 124gr. coated bullet from Bayou, BBI, or SNS out of a cz sp-01 shadow. If so what was your load? Did you like them or have any problems with them? I currently run 135gr. bayou and have no problems but do like the fact that you get more in a case with the 125gr and i have talked to several good shooters who like the 125's. Thanks for any info.
  4. This is a interesting topic. I know that a skinny front sight is faster as it lets more light in and I can pick up the sights faster but I don't know if it's as accurate as having a thick front sight. The thick front sight lets in less light and there's less room to move the front of the gun side to side so I think it would be more accurate. Before I switched to the cz I shot a m&p with a thin front sight and although very fast i was not very accurate with it, although this could be the gun as a whole and not just the front sight. My cz has a much wider front sight and I'm pretty accurate with it. Again going from a m&p first gen gun to a cz shadow is a big difference so I don't know what to think. Is the thin front sight better all the way around or is the thick one the way to go.
  5. Whats your favorite load 125gr load for the cz sp-01 shadow? Im thinking of switching from 135 to 124.
  6. Has anybody gotten there trophy/plaque yet? A buddy of mine said he never even got his from last year
  7. Any body have any experience with this wet tumbler? What do you think about it? Is it worth the money?
  8. Is nobody else shooting 147gr Montana gold in a shadow? My problem is figuring out the OAL. I have a couple buddies running other 147 bullets and are loading them to 1.125-1.130 but that seems too long for my barrel. Just wanted to get a sense of what others were doing
  9. I am trying out some montana gold 147 cmj bullets and was wanting some load data. what works best for you?
  10. how so? i would buy a CTS in 40 and shoot limited. I'm not interested in open as of now.
  11. been thinking about going to limited and just picking up a cz tac sport and doing grip reduction, undercut the beavertail and trigger guard, new front sight, flat trigger, metal guide rod, and trigger guard. I also have been looking at the cts but not sure if its worth the money. Would love to have the new TS orange but thats not gonna happen any time soon and i don't have $3500 for a nice custom 2011. Any thoughts on this? Thanks.
  12. I thought that the lee factory crimp die also resizes the case again and it goes down further than the Dillon resize does
  13. I'm having problems with cases bulged near the extractor groove (bottom of the case) and I have a lee factory crimp die that I haven't used yet but am thinking since it's supposed to resize the case and go further down then the Dillon resizing die that this might take care of the problem. I am also worried that since I'm running a mr bullet feeder that the bell made to allow the bullet to sit in the case will be to big and not allow the cases to go in or work with the lee factory crimp die. Any opinions, suggestions would help. Thanks
  14. I have a dillon 650 with dillon 9mm carbide die set. The press is about 2 years old and for the first 1-1/2 years i would only have about 1 round fail the case gauge. 6 months ago i started slowing getting more and more rounds fail my hundo case gauge, approximately 15 per 100 now. I have checked the resizing die and have found nothing wrong. It is still in the same position and is tightened down. The problem is definitely at the bottom of the cases near the rim. All the ones that fail have a small bulge at the bottom of the case. I talked to dillon and they said it was just the brass. Ive always used range brass and didn't have this problem for 1-1/2 years. I think its something else. Any opinions on what this is and how to fix it. Ive been looking at the EGW U die but still would like to know why it wasn't a problem for 1-1/2 years. Thanks
  15. Expensive though. CK arms is $575 with magwell, mag release and mainspring housing

  17. Stuart what hammer spring are you running?
  18. Going to build or have built my first 2011. Can't decide between the Phoenix trinity and ck arms steel grip and frame. I love the PT aggressive grip but the CK comes with mainspring housing, maxwell and mag realease.for the same price
  19. Try 3.3 then slowly go down till you get what you want. Let me know when you get them loaded up and we will hit the range and chrono them
