  1. Kurt, im not trying to bring an attitude to this....im really not...i very rarely post anything on here.....i just sit back and take in what all the more experienced have to say.....it just pisses me off that have spent an absolute fortune on what is suppose to be the THE shotgun to have, that it is basiclly a $2000 paper weight...i carnt possible go travel to any competion and constantly be wondering if the dame gun is guna work.....surely you can appreciate where im coming from ? and i would bring an attiude to my gun games....if i knew the gun was guna back it up...just ask mike....
  2. no no... that was one of the only sensable sudjestions merlin.....i should have said....will give it a go. and i have tried the nija outfit.....just made it fail to eject...lol

  5. Hi everyone, i have a quick technical question, got my self a brand spanking new M2, done all the nesersary mods to it that you would expect...tube, polishing etc...., and wanted to put a speed feed short pistol grip stock on it, me and mike.45 tried to make it work, but for what ever reason it just wont work and cycle reliably....now is this a commen issue, or have i just got a gun that dont like it, because another guy got one at the same time, same mods, and his works fine....? ideas anyone??. im fairly sure that its not me or the way i hold the gun, because with the normal stock it functions fine????? also.. as a quick side question, you know the pin that holds the "rat tail" onto the bolt carrier.....? well should that be loose enough to just drop out when the bolt is stripped....seems a bit straonge to me...or is that correct.?? thanks in advance for any advice.. Regards Ian.
  6. I saw it yesterday, and i thought it was good. Just a thought though, if a bullet to the head kills these things, and he managed to knock one unconsious with the butt of his m4, when he caught that female one, how come that when they are smashing there heads into windshields, and the plex glass in his lab, they dont have massive trauma and die.??? 1 30rd mag. no side arm on him. Fool. why didnt he get in the tunnel with them and just toss the grenade. just a few thoughts. other than that... a good film.
  7. Hi, ordered it from c-rums tonight, Will see how it goes when it gets here. Ian.
  8. Hi all, i am trying to find out if anyone here can tell me where i can get a shell lifter plate for a new M2, with the loading mod done to it, ie it has the notorius benelli thumb trap removed/ extended. Juat need the modified lifter. Any ideas....?
  9. Thanks for all the help guys.
  10. Thanks for the input guys. I just didnt wana have to read, and try and learn all this stuff whist in front of a computer screen, i would really like to be able to buy a few books and read it at my leisure. may even take said book to range as reference material if needed. Im also just really intrested in the phyics behind it all, if that makes sence. Thanks folks Ian.
  11. Been there already, a quick search revealed very little on reading material. Any other ideas.??
  12. Hi all i am guna be new to the whole long range rifle party, so i was wondering if anyone can recommend any good reading material, that explains, ballistics, and the theory/maths involved in MOR shooting. primarily intrested in .308, as that is what i am guna get., but understanding the principles and the techniques, ie reading wind, how alltitude effects the bullet,,, ranging targets...stuff like that....it what i wana learn. Any recommedations, apart from taking a class, would be greatfully receivied. Thanks Ian.
  13. Dude you rock!! Rio Rocks.! Cav Arms Rocks.!
  14. Nahh... Pull a Nobody on the guy and slap him then have your gun out before he can react.... Do this over and over until you tire of slapping him or he tires of being slapped and slinks away to his place under the rock. Now your talking.!!! Stand up and be counted when these type of ass hats crop up out the dirt. Better some one who can deal with them does., than let them get away with it again and again on some one who carnt stand up for them selves. Show some back bone. Thats what i say. Fear of reprisal is stops most people from stepping up and taking action. But well done for not getting to into it i suppose. if you are armed you already have the upper hand. IMO
  15. I wonder what he would have done if you had been wearing your pistol in a thigh rig for all to see, ??? i bet he woundnt have been such a tard then, Failing that tazer him. Or even better...... Make a large cash donation to you local PD "policemans Ball" Fund, and see if they can make you an honery officer or something. (i know a guy on the circit who has done that.) Then you could flash you badge at that turd. That would definaly shut him up. Or maybe you could just walk away.
  16. i dont know why you guys have such a hard time getting in touch with him.!!! I just spoke to him like 30mins ago. He's a busy boy though. has assembled somthing like 800 to a 1000 side saddles in the last month or so. You would better off sending him an email.
  17. Why?? Triger and guard covered wont break 180. its inline with the hip so why not legal.???

Heres mine, I was about 11 years old, dad and i ccan hear a bird in the loft space, turns out to be a crow. Sooooo Dad decides the best way to get it out is to take a his .357 revo out and load up a case with a no powder and a wax Semi wade cutter, with just the primer for power. So up goes dad with six of these saturday night specials loaded up in the cylinder. about 30 seconds later pop, pop, pop. pop pop pop. Oh dear, dont tell you mother. the crow does a lap of the attic as my dad blasts away, and the narrowly escapes out the tiny hole it got in through. However there are now 6 rather waxy .357 size hole at various points in the roof felt, where he missed. Good old dad. i would have loaded up the 12 gauge and given the dame bird a heart attack peronaly. lol
  19. Thanks for that very informative.. If i ever go to a match that requires a sling, its a single point for me. Thanks.
  20. Hello all, i recenlty saw a load of pics from a pmc friend of mine in iraq, and i noticed that the majority of the guys pictured had what i would call a single point sling on their wepons, ie a loop that goes from under arm pit to over opposite shoulder with the wepon attached at single point at the front of the butt stock, around where your thumb would be.... So my question is, why single point over 3 point, i thought 3 point was the one to have?? is there any advantage of one over the other?? Anyone got any thoughts/ preferences, and why?? which would be best if we had to use one in competition?? Ian.
  21. This is a great idea. but i agree with trapr, it would have to have iron sights as a division though.
  22. Trapr, Im not saying that there is a lack of good quality matches to attend, what im getting at, is the fact that there is so much Kudos surrounding the SMM3G, that it it needs to relise that maybe it carnt stay the size it is forever, and cary on evolving. Im sure there are lots of great 3 matches to go to, they just dont seem to be aswell publisised as the major events. Perhaps we are doing this for the wrong reasons now?? Do we shoot these match over others event, because of the seamily huge prize tables on offer. I dont go to comps, to try to win something better off of the prise table, than what i used in the comp to start with. I go for the competion and to measure my abilities against those of my piers. Perhaps if we just had cash payouts insttead of everyone walking a prize table it would take this in whole thing in not nesersarly a better direction, but a different one.? Does anyone else feel the same? Bring back the essence of the "sport" side of things rather than trying to keep everyone happy about themselves because they came last.? but still walked the prize table. Has anyone got any thoughts on that aspect of it all. Because i think the hole argument of lottery entry vers normal, and other matchs that one can attend has subsided, because it will get us no where. Ian.
  23. Right then, What we need a is a club big enough and bad enough, willing to let us buch of cowboys come along and play with all our mates. What we need is somewhere local that will let Cav arms put on their match that isnt a thousand miles from phoenix. Any kind range owners out there wana help out.???? Every one seems to be saying the same thing, a lack of good matches to go to, and availble range space. Well lets solve this s**t Any one got any in's anywhere, or any ideas.
  24. "I am totally with Russ here. The folks who pour their souls into making Rio Salado one of the premiere action shooting places in the country darned well ought to get some special consideration in this situation. Even ahead of the big dawgs and their sponsor slots." Absolulty russ your bang on there mate. "I also disagree with lotsa' extra cash not helping the issues behind this whole thread. Money works wonders and enough of it can solve ANY problem you can pose IF you actually want to solve that problem ;-)" I havnt found a problem yet that carnt be fixed by throwing money at it, trust me im a plumber...;-) "I hate the idea of raising the match fee, 'cause I'm not rich thank you, but if you want to do that I have an idea. Sell "Premium" registrations for $500. Give a slot to any competitor that wants to pay that amount. Limit those slots to 1/2 the match capacity. Let everyone else play the lottery. Just a thought." This is great idea. It would appear that not as many as i thought would be willing to pay more, but those of us that are, would go for this im sure. Ok so it cost me more than the guy in the lottery, but if it gets me a slot, i would. Thsoe who can afford to, go for it, those who carnt, or arnt that fussed, go for the lottery. My only other better idea was, have a seperate prize table for people that help out for at least 1 day, or have them get a discount of a ranging scale depending on how much/many days they help set up. say maxing out at 50% would deffinatly get shooters to turn up to help, espeally shooters who have kids that wana shoot as well. They are saying its a lottery right????? Fine.......... I want to buy 100 tickets please.... Think about it.....?
