Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. I have 2 kits and I am very pleased with them. The break is super crisp.
  2. Easier to file down plastic? I dunno. It's pretty hard to screw this up. Maybe just me...
  3. Super easy. get yourself a jewelers file kit and work the top and bottom of the trigger shoe opening on the grip.. go slow and easy and check tightness constantly. Get the SVI Trigger Bow - Wide Body version. NOT Triglide. I just fitted my second one last night. You also may need to file down these bottom ears to match the contour of the STI trigger bow. Both of mine had to be filed down slightly because it was too tall and hitting the frame.
  4. My edge will run 1.125" just fine. 1.085" seems pretty short though.
  5. I'm using 4.1gr of WST to make major (170PF) with X-Treme 200gr plated loaded to 1.190" in my STI Edge. at 4.3gr I started to see flattened primers. BTW 4.1 gr of WST on Xtreme 200grs is one helluva soft load
  6. I use the lee factory crimp die and it seems to take out the glock bulge. All my rounds fit in the shockbottle case gauge with no problems and feed reliably in my g35 AND my friend's Brazos.
  7. I know what you mean. What bullet are you using? Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using Tapatalk I'm using X-treme 180grs
  8. I'm running 5.5gr of CFE pistol through my glock 35. I love this load, BUT it's REAL dirty at this load. 200 rounds of 5.5gr will black out my red fiber optic front sight. When running at 5.9 gr (Manufacturer min load) it burns clean, too hot for me.
  9. I tested my loads in 40-45 degree weather and at 70-75 degrees when we had nice weather a couple weeks back. I did not notice a difference. now that may not be the best test, but it's something. other than being a bit dirty, I'm very impressed with this powder. It's very consistent and the recoil impulse is smooth.
  10. Here is the current load data i'm using out of a Glock 35 with KKM Precision barrel. I shot it back to back with titegroup at the same powerfactor and the CFE pistol seemed a tad lighter recoiling. not much difference. I'm really likin' this powder, except for the dirtiness. After about 200 rounds my green fiber rod goes black. CFE Pistol at 5.5 grains OAL at 1.135" Xtreme 180 gr Plated HP 1) 943 FPS 2) 951 FPS 3) 962 FPS 4) 928 FPS 5) 953 FPS 6) 953 FPS 7) 944 FPS 8) 948 FPS 9) 942 FPS 10) 948 FPS AVG - 947.2 FPS PF - 170.5 PF
  11. ttolliver, I haven't loaded anthing with N320 yet. I have quite a few of it laying around, but treat it like gold. haha. The only powders I've shot with are Winchester 231/Hodgdon HP-38 and TiteGroup. I'd say it's on par or better than 231/HP-38 in terms of recoil.
  12. If you're shooting for major then I bet you'll want to be around 5.4 - 5.6 grains. the XDM is pretty close to the Glock.
  13. Made some loads with the new Hodgdon CFE Pistol Powder. Thought this would help anyone looking for data since the only place I was able to find data was Hodgdon. Gun - Glock 35 with KKM precision barrel. OAL - 1.135" Bullet - X-treme 180gr Plated HP Powder - CFE Pistol 5.1 grains 1) 865 FPS 2) 872 FPS 3) 903 FPS 4) 877 FPS 5) 872 FPS AVG - 877,8 FPS | PF - 158 5.4 grains 1) 918 FPS 2) 942 FPS 3) 926 FPS 4) 948 FPS 5) 943 FPS AVG - 935.4 FPS | PF - 168.37 5.5 grains 1) 905 FPS 2) 917 FPS 3) 948 FPS 4) 913 FPS 5) 895 FPS 6) 916 FPS 7) 960 FPS 8) 927 FPS AVG - 922.6 FPS | PF - 166.07 5.6 grains 1) 955 FPS 2) No Reading 3) 946 FPS 4) 976 FPS 5) 973 FPS AVG - 962.5 FPS | PF - 173.25 5.9 grains 1) 1,010 FPS 2) No Reading 3) 1,005 FPS 4) 995 FPS 5) 998 FPS AVG - 1,002 FPS | PF 180.36 The only load data I found was from Hodgdon with starting load at 5.9 grains for 1,007 FPS. Seems like a pretty consistent powder, except for 5.5 grains. not sure what happened there. Recoil is pretty soft, more of a push than a snap. Accuracy was great as well. This powder at the lower grain levels was pretty dirty, it burned much cleaner at 5.9 grains. Anyway, hope that helps someone. -Andrew
  14. I just got a 41 for CDP. It fits in my bladetech holster made for my 34. Awesome shooter. very smooth and easy to shoot fast.
