Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. At our club we allow people to sync their device at the end of the match. The ones who want it get everything on their device. At the end of the day its the percentages that count sometimes we don't want to remember the misses
  2. i wonder if the report you want is the "Detailed Review" View Results -> Select the Stage in Stage Results -> Detailed Review. That is on the IOS version
  3. 1. On the ios version when setting up a new match you can select "NRA Action" for match type to give you the X 10 9 8 7 type of scoring. I havent really used this match type so you will have to play around with it. 3. You can email the match file to people who have practiscore by going into the sync menu and selecting "email match export file"
  4. I haven't been able to get it to work but then I just figured out each person needs a USPSA# set for it to work
  5. At the end of the match we sync up all the ipads so everyone who wants to look at the scores can without fighting over 1 ipad. Works out quite well
  6. What we need is a master sync. Looks similar to normal sync with the list of availible ipads we can select which are in the sync list. Then it will proceed to pull all the scores one after another from the other ipads and once complete it pushes everything back them. This sync list can also be sent to the other ipads then it does mater what ipad you pick up the master sync can be initiated from any device in the list. On the sync screen it will show the status of how it went with each device and give a total of scores outstanding so we can easily see if we are still missing scores or it the event is complete. At the moment if you have 5 ipads then to sync them all up requires 8 syncs and the more devices the harder to manage.
  7. Ipad batteries last great except when the guys the match before forget to plug them back in. . For our small weekend clubs match 2-3 squads 3-5 stages, the peer to peer nature gives us great flexibility. I have been known to forget to add people, put people in the wrong squad and build stages with the wrong number of targets. This can all be fixed with limited hassle and if required a sync corrects this on the other devices. They can all be fixed when needed rather than having to go to the master etc. I realise large matches have different requirements and usually have better planning and all I was trying to say we need to keep the peer to peer for these smaller matches more flexible matches.
  8. The peer to peer capabilities of Practiscore I feel are one of it best and most flexible features. It means I don't have to worry about which device is the master. If we need to swap one device for another it can be done very easily. If a extra stage needs to be setup it can be done with no hassle on one machine and a simple sync sorts it out. We have had devices overheat, run out of battery etc and it really hasn't been a problem. Could this have still been said if it had been the master.
  9. I am always excited by a new update of Practiscore. If I have a chance I try it out at home before hand but most of the time I just update the club's machines before match. I don't mention it to the guys I just do it. We have never had a show stopper. We have never failed to get the scores out. We have come across things that we reported and they were fixed quite quickly. This is my worst case scenarios. We score on member's phones. We have done this in the past when machines have overheated due to it being very hot. We don't get the scores out. (this has never happened but did quite regularly with paper based scoring.) We have to use paper base scoring. (This has never happened) I feel the least we can do to support this great software is use the latest, test and report bugs. It is in my interest to do this because there is no way I want to go back to the pain of paper based scoring.
  10. With open squadding how do you handle ROing patching and picking up brass and the final packup.
  11. And while I haven't tested it yet the "Export Match to Another App" option in sync looks like it could be used to push sync apple devices using airdrop and thus not requiring a WIFI hotspot on those parts of the range not covered. Does require newer iphone/ipad that have the airdrop feature.
  12. Looks like projected tries to guess the results when not everyone have been scored for all stages yet. Competitor 1 has completed stage 2 and 3 Competitor 2 has completed stage 1 and 3 Projected report tries to show how everyone is going. I think :-)
  13. New feature to group stages is quite nice. Say a loaded and unloaded speed shoot run on the same range
