  1. hey guys just fyi Southern gun world & police supply in Midlothian Va. has used M&P 40 mags (police trade-ins) for $14.95. I just bought 2 when I got my M&P 40 the other day so I have 5 mags total. now for mag pouches and holster. hmmm..LOL

  3. Sorry for your loss Rammer Jammer, I know how rough that can be
  4. Welcome from another newbie. We happen to be just down the road about 30 minutes or so, I am in Colonial Heights. Richard
  5. Nghthawk1911 thanks for the info and links I will be interested in finding the local spots most people I have talked to around here said there aren't many in this area. Juan what base were you at when I came back and went reserve I was in Little Creek and did our summers at Lejeune. Olivers_AR I guess I'll have to get used to coming up your way even tho I hate the traffic up there I hear ya'll have a lot of shooters up there. Zack Thank you as well for your service to our great country.
  6. oh and one more bit of info is I would Like to shoot production to start out so any info as far as legal upgrade changes would be very helpful. thanks again Richard
  7. Hi Folks, Am new to this forum and am just getting started into the competition realm of shooting. I have a lot of long gun experience from growing up in a rural environment and my time in the Marine Corps, (actually tied the range record on Charlie line in a hurricane 248 outta 250 with iron sites on an A2) and enjoy shooting my Kimber Pro Carry 10 II. I love to compete but am new to this sport and am just trying to find some contacts in my area to help me with some pointers and kind of guide me into the right direction for shooting events in my area ( about 20 minutes south of Richmond.) I am looking into a couple of guns that I am considering for my comp gun the M&P 40, FNS40, or the Sig I believe it was either 226 or 2022 in 9 mm. shot all 3 at the range today and I had to make due with stock medium back straps on the M&P and the FN but have handled the M&P instore with the large strap and I liked the feel but I shot the crap outta the sig and FN. Any input as to gun choice and/or places to compete in the area would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance Richard
