  1. Agree with moto, if it falls (or fell), then what's the issue? I don't see a basis for declaring REF and wouldn't entertain a reshoot on that basis if the shooter requested one.
  2. I modified a dot connector that yielded a pretty crisp break. Lone Wolf 3.5 is pretty decent.
  3. The BoD discussed allowing milling in production. Yes, it was in the presentation. It was ultimately not approved along with the other changes. This was confirmed by Jake Martens to me on Facebook. The new Appendix D4 is the final word on production changes, and it is not included.
  4. 21.2b "Milling of Slide" A slide may be modified specifically for installing sights, and for no other purpose.
  5. Doctrine usually dictates a fast powder with a heavy-for-caliber bullet choice. I would want a faster powder like TG.
  6. I sincerely doubt it.
  7. You don't even shoot production, yet you are here. So I guess we're all in the same nonsensical boat.
  8. Yep, this one has caught my eye. If anyone has one, I would love to hear a review.
  9. If you think the gun matters, you've already lost.
  10. Totally, it became the second most popular division in spite of inherent division attributes that shooters obviously detested.
  11. I didn't get the memo. And I keep beating guys with unicorns with my old busted G34. Because the gun is all but irrelevant.
  12. 4.5# striker spring is very reliable if your primers are seated the way they're supposed to be (bottomed out in the primer hole) As was mentioned, the striker spring is the big bang for the buck in pull weight reduction.
  13. Reduced power safety plunger spring and 4.5# striker spring and some kind of 3.5# connector (or factory minus connector) is a pretty good place to start. Polish the internal contact points if you feel like it. It won't break the bank and it won't negatively affect reliability.
  14. It's simple from my POV. They made the decision to ignore the history and intent of production division (the second most popular division) and turned in into yet another full blown mod race division. The have been low key laying the groundwork for this for a while by issuing private parts approval to various aftermarket manufacturers. It started with the hammer ruling and it would have been followed by a trigger ruling but they decided to do it this way instead. The party line was unenforceability, but that was just a convenient excuse.
  15. This is not, and has never been the case. It gets repeated often enough because it's convenient revisionist history. I have the official position papers from the BoD that clarify their intent for production (it's moot now, of course). The current president and board made an unprincipled and shortsighted decision for the sake of monetizing the division.
  16. I am having a hard time finding a load for my new KKM barrel that will match or exceed the accuracy of my OEM barrel. I'm looking for pet loads specific to the KKM G34 barrel. Thanks in advance.
  17. There's not much "production" about the new rules.
  18. I would love to hear a cogent argument on how manually lowering a hammer to half cock is equally safe, or safer than manually lowering a hammer all the way down. I'd also like an explanation on how drawing and manipulating the gun at half cock is equally safe, or safer than if the gun were fully decocked.
  19. What's to say that hasn't already been said? Foley got what he wanted, member feedback be damned. It's a solution looking for a problem, with the convenient side effect of cashing in on USPSA's second largest division with aftermarket parts manufacturers.
  20. Seems pretty retarded to me, but your target demographic is Troy and the BoD, so you'll likely get your wish.
  21. I've taken Fundamentals and Skills & Drills. Ben's classes are worth every penny. Keep your ears open and LISTEN to everything he says. To you and your classmates. Absorb his knowledge and approach to doing things. Watch how he prepares to shoot. I learned almost as much just by observing him and keeping my ears open for little wisdom nuggets as I did from the direct instruction. It will take months or years off your learning curve.
