  1. That's a grip problem. It means something is changing as you progress through a string of rapid shots. Probably grip pressure. You may be tensing up and applying a different level of pressure than what you started with, which will of course cause the gun to behave differently under recoil.
  2. Overhead press, bench press, pullups, chinups, dips, etc. Although a comprehensive program like Mark Rippetoe's Starting Strength is going to be better for you than trying to isolate a few upper body parts. Sent from my ONEPLUS A6003 using Tapatalk
  3. Nothing supercharges your development as a shooter quite like changing divisions and guns constantly! It's a proven formula. Sent from my ONEPLUS A6003 using Tapatalk
  4. Wolff Reduced Power safety plunger spring Wolff 4.5# striker spring DIY set screw installation in trigger housing to reduce pretravel (this requires clipping the tab on the factory trigger safety to retain drop safety- I don't recommend doing this unless you know what you're doing, because defeating one of the safeties in the system is bad, m'kay?) TTI connector careful polish job on internals, STAY AWAY FROM THE SEAR ENGAGEMENT (striker lug and cruciform)
  5. Sorry for my role in sidetracking the thread. I'll get back on topic. Sent from my ONEPLUS A6003 using Tapatalk
  6. With all due respect, Mr. Pinto, I believe the most recent IPSC presidential election served as referendum upon your tenure spent and accomplishments in IPSC leadership. Sent from my ONEPLUS A6003 using Tapatalk
  7. No one is persecuting you. The truth should never be objectionable. Sent from my ONEPLUS A6003 using Tapatalk
  8. Not a joke, Vince received a commission from sales of IPSC "Patron" memberships. Vince was the sole creator, salesman, and administrator for that program, to the best of my knowledge. He's never denied it, to his credit. But he never accounts for his fee when he quotes the fundraising figures until prompted, which is a bit disingenuous (by omission) in my humble opinion. I can link you to threads on Vince's own forum in which he discusses the Patron program and his commission, if you like. Sent from my ONEPLUS A6003 using Tapatalk
  9. You always neglect to mention the 10% commission you took off the top of that figure. It always struck me as a fundraiser for Vince Pinto more than anything.
  10. I prefer Comptac, have owned Bladetech in the past and they're fine. I do not get the appeal of RHT, despite their prevalence. The one that briefly passed theough my posession had the retention and fit of a five gallon bucket.
  11. I'm not sure any more. Buy taccom products, I guess? Sent from my ONEPLUS A6003 using Tapatalk
  12. lol, I do okay. I didn't realize this was somehow personal for you. I didn't see any Rugers at Nationals a few months ago, nor at any of the level 2 matches I shot last year, hence my question. Sent from my ONEPLUS A6003 using Tapatalk
  13. Seems like a great steel challenge gun, I think the inherent limitations for USPSA or action shooting are pretty obvious. Sent from my ONEPLUS A6003 using Tapatalk
  14. Are they winning uspsa matches? Sent from my ONEPLUS A6003 using Tapatalk
  15. My preference and practice is to say nothing and have nothing said to me unless it's a new shooter situation. I have the entire 180 degrees in which to work. I don't need you to tell me I got close. Edited to add: Even though it's permissible according to the rules, I think it's a TERRIBLE idea to yell anything at a shooter other than "STOP" during a course of fire.
  16. Maybe paradoxically, I never felt like the steel gun shot more softly. I always had the sensation that the Glock recoil was more flippy but up and down. The CZ was more straight back, but harder hitting and prone to lateral bias. I'm sure something to do with mass and momentum. I have to work much harder to control a steel gun in recoil for whatever reason.
  17. Handle the Walther and check it out, but I picked up the Gen 5 MOS FS for my 2019 season and I really like it. The cocking serrations are a nice feature, but that magwell is ginormous, especially once you put a good grip plug on it. Trigger is a hair better than previous gens out of the box and it cleans up nice with a little work. I see no reason to put a kit in this one. In the end, the gun doesn't matter a whole lot.
  18. I have been liking the ALG Defense very light grease lately. It stays in place. Sent from my ONEPLUS A6003 using Tapatalk
  19. Loading for recoil characteristics instead of accuracy is silly. Sent from my ONEPLUS A6003 using Tapatalk
  20. If your rounds are "jamming" in the chamber, it's more likely you need to reduce OAL, not increase it. The Gen5 guns are said to have a shorter throat than previous generations as part of the "Marksman barrel" changes. You need to do a plunk test, instead of picking arbitrary lengths. 21. Is anyone making the heavy + extended guide rods for the gen5 34s yet? I see that Jager makes the Heavy but I'm wanting the one that extends the length of the long G34 slide.
  22. Technique trumps strength. That's a whole other discussion. Sent from my ONEPLUS A6003 using Tapatalk
