  1. Have you checked the spring tension on the detent ball? Maybe you need to borrow a spring from my spare parts assortment. I'll give you the GFD on the rental.
  2. I've got the same problem that Nemo has with Speer .40 brass. Both my 550 and 650 won't deprime it sometimes. I had 3 last night on the 650....
  3. I've got the same problem as many have with spent primers not ending up in the catcher. I've searched this site and it looks like there are several solutions, but from looking at the pictures posted, they appear to be for the old style 650 primer system. Does anyone with the newer stule (angled catcher) have a solution to primers on the floor and bench? Thanks, Jim
  4. I use 180 gr. Montana Gold bullets.
  5. I'm going to switch powder for my .40 STI (major). I'm currently shooting N320, but am going to switch because of the problems with availablity and cost. There is a local source of WST and WSF with grood prices and availability. A few of the guys are shooting WSF and like it. From searching here, it seems more guys are using WST. What are the advantages of WST over WSF or vice versa? Thanks! Jim
  6. How do you calculate hit factor to use Flex's calculator on this stage. Do you use the 4.5 seconds x 4? 81 points here.
  7. I'm a lefty and had the same issue. My fingers are long and I had a hard time getting my trigger finger back to the mag release. I got an Arredondo mag release button that is shaped sort of like an ellipse. I have it screwed on so that it faces toward the trigger and slightly up. My finger doesnt have to come as far back, now, to release the mag. With a little practice, I don't have to think about releasing the mag. When I reach for the new one, the old one just falls out of the gun. Jim
  8. Thanks for the infor and replies guys. I'll continue to work on calling and indexing. Thanks, Jim
  9. I'm getting to the point that if the sights are aligned with my eyes when the shot breaks, I can call the location of the shot. My question is, are others able to call the shot if the sights are not quite lined up with your eye? I find that sometimes I let the shot break when the sights are close to being aligned with my eye, but before they actually are. In that case, I'm not able to call the location. In these cases, I usually get a hit, and sometines an A, but I don't know where the hits are until I go back and score. Should I be able to call those shots or do I need to spend a little longer getting the sights aligned before breaking the shot? Thanks, Jim
