  1. Never had an issue with MBX out of the box.
  2. Id go CO first, then consider the change. Open is the fun division though LOL
  3. I like the way mine shoots with the holes. And it makes the ROs back up. That makes me giggle.
  4. I have 2 barrels for mine. And I have no issues switching back and forth.
  5. I really like the photochromatic reds. Except when the sun is too much in my eyes and then I switch to a regular red.
  6. I use 155s most of the time. If it makes sense I will run a 170.
  7. I am curious how something that is just a hunk of shaped metal "actively" does a damn thing. What am I missing?
  8. Just got my T-Shirt from Akai. Loving the new thumb accelerator thing that is not gas related nor is it a pedal.
  9. I tried it out after reading a bunch of positive feedback on it. I tested it, then ran it in a match. After the match I went and bought 16# from Midsouth. Absolutely loving it. 9.55 with a 125 making 170PF. See the pic for how much case is filled.
  10. 1) I had handed the timer off as I was on deck and was standing off to the back left of the bay. Was a facing up range start and a fairly new shooter. I heard the RO remind him to turn, then draw. He drew, then turned, and his finger had moved to the trigger as the barrel swept by my chest. I consciously waited until he had gotten past me before yelling stop. 2) The RO had finished shooting and removed his gear, but was running shooters while holding an open beer.
  11. Dont eat Taco Bell on the way. Didnt happen to me, but a friend grabbed a burrito on the way to a weekly indoor match one evening. Thought she had some gas, turned out to be more of an explosive shart.
  12. Nice!! The gun ran nice and flat, you are going to have a ton of fun with that one.
  13. If you have the will then go for it! Age is just a number.
  14. Boombah Hellcat's when dry, waterproof Merrells when wet. Indoor I use basketball low-tops.
  15. Years and years ago I shot Hi-power and small bore. Stopped and moved on. Decided to get a handgun and my carry permit and while taking a tactical class I wondered if there was any kind of shooting competition kind of like a tactical course. Started with IDPA because I read the rules for USPSA and was completely lost, plus I could barely afford ammo at that point and only had 3 mags for my M&P 9. My progression was something like M&P > CZ75 > Para 16-40 Decided to try USPSA in Prod. Met a gunsmith that took my Para and worked it over into an awesome Limited gun. Para > STI Apeiro shooting Limited Then CO took off and I wanted a dot. XDM OSP > Walther Q5 > Screw it lets go all in and go open with an STI MatchMaster. (Did get a Sig X5 for non-open shenanigans) STI MM > Hardy Mongooses > Full custom full size open gun OMG WTF FTW!!!!
  16. Most of the time I just use glass wipes, but every once in a while I go through and use vinegar and q-tips to thoroughly clean the lens.
  17. Almost exactly this. I like it to be just a little forward of my trigger finger but same as far as half a big stick.
  18. That is excellent! For the OP, I wouldnt think they would fit, but you could probably file it down.
  19. Looking forward to it. I have heard good stuff about Venom, and they are close to me so going to have to meet Donny.
  20. Have to love that kind of service. Very cool!
  21. I cant say much about the ammo choice, but for the dots I am a big fan of the RTS2. I had the DPP before and had a few issues. But, I know others that can say the reverse, so my recommendation is to pick the one you like the best. Helpful, right?
  22. That, except for the occasional off the wall 50 round stage I have never used 2 170s.
  23. I love the look of the Aircooledracer's comp for sure! Now I want to know pricing!
  24. MBX has a comp coming out soon as well. I was able to check it out at the TN Atomic Blast and it looks nice. Can only tell so much before shooting it though.
  25. I would think any of the Open shooters at ORSA would be happy to let you try their guns out if you go to the monthly match. 3rd Saturdays. Or, if you feel like taking a drive to Middle TN let me know. We can get you set up.
