  1. I cut my front sight off on my Bushmaster. Works well and does not look that bad. Good luck with what ever you decide to do.
  2. I can help you out a little bit. I am not sure about this year but in years past a sling was required for at least your rifle. I plan on bringing a sling for the rifle and shotgun just to be safe. Hand carts can be used and the terrain is conducive to wheeled carts. Rules..... Not sure if they were ever posted but if you stick to the USPSA multigun rules you should be good to go. Lastly the squading is taken care of at sign in. Hints... Stay hydrated and take your time and do not eat at the all you can eat buffet in Oxford. See you at the range. Jeremy Bruce
  3. Darren you do know where we are going right? See everyone at the match. If you happen to be on I95 on Friday we will be the minivan cruzing south dragging our rear bumper.
  4. I thought the match was great. Thanks everyone for your hard work in making this happen. The jungle weather got to me by the end of the day but nothing we can do about that. Thanks guys.
  5. I am speechless with the passing of Bill. He has been and will always be a fixture of my USPSA and 3 gun memories. This weekend I was cleaning out my bedroom and came across a a photo of myself at the NC Recon three gun a couple of years ago. I intently remembered where and when that photo was taken. I was on a stage at "The Range" in July absolutely sweltering in the heat. If you have been to a Recon match you would know you have to carry all of your gear old day. From his backpack Bill pulls this camera and snaps this photo of me. I laughed at him and asked him why the heck he was carrying a camera. I was at that point in the day trowing extra shots to loose some weight and Bill has been toting his camera around all day. Well he did love to take those pictures Just a happy / funny memory with Bill. Bill was a great guy who I loved to shoot with. I will miss him and wish his family heart felt condolences.
  6. That is awesome news. I can drive that and may actually be able to go for a change.
  7. I love the smell of an AR 15 firing lead down range in the morning. Nothing like it. Man I can not wait for this season to start.
  8. Para Ord P16 Schuemann ultramatch barrel 180 grain Montana Gold head 4.1 grain vv 320 length 1.133 mixed brass winchester small rife primers
  9. I think I have an addition to my must have list. I hope it makes it way into production.
  10. I use the SERPA as well. I like knowing for sure that my gun will stay in my holster especially on those inside the car stages. I know other holsters have retention devices that work well. I just prefer the SERPA design.
  11. Very Nice gun. Makes me want to get race gun. Maybe next year
  12. Now I know where Data from Goonies went.\
  13. I will unfortunately be out of town for this match but would absolutely interested in multi-gun matches at Topton. To think of driving only 35 minutes to a 3-gun match is almost too much to fathom. I would also be more then happy to help set up and tear down.
  14. I second what Dave said. This is a great match which has always been challenging and fun to shoot. I will be there again this year!
  15. I shot on Saturday as well. The match was, as usual, run very well. We never had to wait for a stage and considering the weather that was a great blessing. The stages were challenging and fun to figure out but that is what we have learned to expect at this match. Among the names Jim mentioned in his post lets not forget Jim and Dave who organize these matches. Thanks guys.
  16. I am going to pack my snorkel and hip waders but will be there tomorrow in hi spirits. I worked today so I could not help set up but my hat goes off to you guys who braved the weather to set this match up. Thank You.
  17. Question on stage 8. Are we using the park bench as a port. If so can we make sure the shooter clearly knows to shoot over, under or through this infamous "port". I ask because last time we had the park bench "port" we almost needed to breakout the Kleenex after a misunderstanding.
  18. This is a great match. I drove down from P.A. for the past two years. I am not going this year due to another match which runs over the same weekend but if it was not for the scheduling conflict I would be there this year.
  19. What is it with West Point and mud? Every time I go to West Point it is either raining or muddy as hell. Well breakout the cleats an put some lead down range. See you all on Saturday.
  20. I agree that SS should not be in production but I think the 10 round limit has to go. Production to me, means what the gun is sold with. If I buy a G-17 and it comes with 17 round mags, I should be able to load 17 rounds. Sorry for you who live on the wrong side of the Deleware River.
  21. 3 gun gear's products are unmatched in the market place. Not only are they pactical they are also durable as hell.
  22. It looks like a production gun to me. As long as it is holstered behind the him.
