Yeah. I called glockworx and after I was able to explain what was wrong they quickly shipped a new trigger bar that had less ore travel taken out. Put it in yesterday and same problem. So will probably return and stick with Vanek or try someone else

Sometimes my RSA gets off center and holds the slide up. Try to see what it is catching on.

He mentioned bad breath several times. I think he likes having good hygiene and organizing little boxes of things.
I also don't think he needed to disguise it as altoid tin. If anyone realized what it really was they would never steal it.

If you are asking what the numbers mean? ES is just the highest velocity minus the lowest velocity. It is the extreme spread. Your chrono may or may not eliminate outlier velocities when calculating this.
The sd is a way to describe the variance of velocity from one round to another. In other words if you took the average you have a certain confidence that 68% of your rounds velocities will fall withing the average plus or minus the SD. And 95% withing plus or minus the average plus or minus 2 SD.
So 936 is average. 95% of your rounds will be between 922 and 950 fps. So you will rarely have rounds below 135 PF.

Ridiculous.

As far as I know and I am sort of a newbie. Trajectory isn't really am issue with pistol shooting. I think when people use the term flat they mean the recoil of the pistol and how fast the sights settle ??

I have done biathlon - although it was a military version. Which means different rifles and different skis! But it is hard to hold a rifle steady after skiing hard.

The shorter the string you are shooting the more important the draw time is in overall time. For example if you draw and shoot in 1.25 seconds and your splits are .25 seconds the draw is 5/6ths of the total time. if you add 3 more splits for 5 rounds the draw time is only 5/9ths....I dont have calculator so couldnt convert to % If your splits are slower than that then the effect is exagerated even more. So I totally expect the 17 to be faster out of the holster but I would bet in a blind test (haha) you wouldnt see time differences outside of the draw. You may or may not see accuracy differences.

what is basis for preference of Forcht drive over the psner drive? They both are available for 1050 and both have the same speed it looks like... Just curious as I had never heard of either but they seem awesome

I just installed the zev trigger......gonna need to call them in the morning as something seems not quite right with the drop safety...
-
OK - also the trigger housing has the number 1 on it. All my other trigger housing pieces have the number 2. Does that mean anything?

Just got a new Zev Tec trigger. It is the IDPA legal trigger. When I installed it I wasn't impressed. So i started looking at it. The cruciform doesnt rest on the "ledge" on the right side of the trigger housing which I think is part of the drop safety. Or said another way - when I push the trigger bar forward until it locks forward It doesnt move much and doesnt move far enough to be supported by the housing. So with it locked into that position, I can push down on the cruciform. On my other triggers that isnt possible.
Any thoughts?

who is selling ammo for $10 per 500 rounds? Im not sure I followed your math there MLO...
Not buying a conversion barrel to save money on ammo - buying it to be able to shoot 9mm in IDPA Are you saying reman 40 is only 10 dollars more than reman 9?
-
I currently have a vanek trigger and have a glockworx standard on the way....cant wait to see how they compare
-
yeah I guess i would just have to shoot ESP if I did that in IDPA....

I have this set up on my G34. .285 high onthe front. It seems like it hits low. I want to get sights for my sons G17. I need shorter front post right? How much shorter?
-
I hear plenty of people on another forum talk about Glock perfection and they think it is absurd to change anything that St Glock hath created. But the sights are not worth anything and the trigger is pretty horrible. These are of course my opinions an therefore mean very little....
My son has a stock G17 - but his scores are significantly better when he shoots my 34 so I am in process of ordering sights and trigger for the 17....unless I decide to buy a 35......

I am planning to get into reloading this year. And thought If I could cast some portion of my bullets I could lower overall costs per round. So I went by the WM Tire and Lube and asked for the wheel weights. They said they couldn't give them to me and they weren't lead anymore anyway....
So...Where do you get scrap lead for casting?

Does anyone make a Gain Twist barrel that you could install in a Glock?
-
haha I easily have more money than Skill! But not that much money......$2k????

My wife and I were big backpackers so it was a big ego hit to get an RV. A pop up was our compromise - with the mesh walls it still feels like you are outside (the view and the breeze) but is out of weather and comfortable. But we are on the minimalist end of the spectrum!
It also fits in the garage!

Shot a match at an indoor range today and had several times where the slide didnt lock back - it has happened before but seemed to happen more today. The pistol is a Gen 4 Glock 34 and I replaced the extended slide release with a normal slide release to reduce the frequency of this...
I am guessing I need to change my grip up a bit.
Can anyone describe a grip solution?
