Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. I'd like to add my condolences to those already expressed. I always looked forward to being squadded with Jeff, both at Capitol City and at Linden. He was a genuinely nice guy and always fun to be around. I had the pleasure of meeting his wife a couple years back, and shooting with his son Seth this past summer. My prayers are with them. Bart, I had no idea your Mom had been ill, and I'm very sorry to hear of her passing. You've had a terrible time the past couple weeks, and I'll add prayers for your family, too. Wally Palazzolo
  2. Rick, I can't help with an audio file, but how 'bout a phonetic version (might as well get someting out of of four years of high school Latin -- besides using it for crossword puzzles, that is). Diligentia: dill - uh - jent' - see - uh Vis: viss Celeritas: suh - lair' - ee - tass That's about as close as I can get without being able to actually write out phonetic syllables. Hope it helps. P.S. It's great to hear from someone who knows how to pronounce Leupold!
  3. Gary, I'm one of the ones you replied to. Thanks for letting me know you saw my note (I was beginning to wonder). Hope you had a good time at our match yesterday; thanks for coming to Michigan to shoot it. I was your CRO on Stage 7. Wally Palazzolo Livingston Gun Club
  4. Sestock has already said it, but I'll restate it in different words: we can debate the issue on this and other forums till we all turn green with purple stripes, but unless we actually give it a try, no amount of speculation on the outcome (and that's all any of this talk is -- speculation, nothing more) will have any value in the real world. I'm willing to give it a try; in fact, I'm looking forward to it. Gary Stevens, thank you for offering the opportunity.
  5. Jeff, if you dress Esmerelda in the plaid skirt for the perv from Windsor, don't forget the patent leather shoes. Ahhh...twelve years in Catholic schools...it's all coming back to me now. Will Sister Mary Magnum be there? Wally P.
  6. Gary, I support your proposal and the use of the SSC rules, and for sure I'll compete in the provisional division if it's made available. Thanks for all the thought and work that has already gone into this, and all that yet remains. Not everyone has the means or the interest in shooting a wide-body .40 Limited gun in L10 (Limited-Lite???) just to be competitive. I have the means, but absolutely no interest in owning a Limited gun, so I shoot my SS .45 in L10 for fun. Guess that makes me one of the "dinosaurs", but then I also think the "P" in USPSA should stand for something. Since I also shoot IDPA CDP, I already have the gear. It would be nice to use it in USPSA also.
