  1. However if he builds it as a Standard Exercise IAW rule 1.1.5.3 he may specify shooting strong or weak hand from the point specified. such as after the draw. I would like to see a stage drawing.
  2. Averages suck. I chorno 12 rounds, I pick the lowest number (MV). If it comes out 128 or above i am happy and now my loads are good.
  3. 147 grain bullets with 3.9 grains of HP-38 gives 135 - 139 PF. With WST, a good powder, and the Octagonal rifling in Glock you should strive for 135 PF in your glock, which should give you about 129 in a carbine, Remember you will get about 200 feet more MV in a rifle/carbine which will make up the difference in rifing between the glock and the carbine. Find a load you like and chorno it just to be sure you get the PF you need in both.
  4. y'all FORGOT FUN, have FUN. if i don't have fun i am screwed.
  5. "I had to DQ someone at the IL Sectional in 2013 at Sparta, because of an issue like this. Sparta has tables at the end of their bays that have roofs over them, and those tables were marked as safe areas on some bays, but not all. I turned around to see a shooter dry firing at one of the tables that was NOT marked as a safe area. Hated to do it, because I know it was confusing, but rules are rules." Then the MD and the entire R/O staff was wrong if they did not point out and correct this issue. Confusion is one thing we should never have about safety areas. At my home club each safety are is marked and across the access road from the bays. Cut into a berm with railroad ties for the sides and back. Marked with permanent signs there is no mistake from shooters.
  6. You mean you read only 4 or 5 times. or is that just this week? I am constantly looking at things and thumbing through the rule book. Scripture is easier to remember than uspsa rulebook.
  7. Yahoo, now i have something to do when i visit my family.
  8. At a match I attended I saw the following occur. Make ready command given. gun loaded and holstered Another competitor noticed 2 close targets had not been taped Shooter clasps hands above head, to stay clear of loaded firearm and the R/O allowed the targets to be taped. Range was cleared and the COF was continued. When asked about his action the R/O said it was OK because the shooter was experienced and knew what he was doing (HUH) I see this a violation of rule 8.3.8 "Range is clear" since the shooter had a loaded firearm holstered while someone was done range and we were in a COF at that point.. Should the R/O have had the competitor clear his gun. declare the range clear and then have the targets taped or was his action correct? Thank you
  9. Reduce you load to 80% of what it is now and the bullets will do fine. I do not know without chrono if the loads would make major. I reckon that is why it is called load development.
  10. The DQ's never fade. They do make you more aware of a weakness to be corrected. But I think you remember them all.
  11. There was a similar stage at Handgun nationals. USPSA matches are suppose to be "Freestyle" type of shooting . True, but freestyle is a Principle of USPSA, not a "rule." That is why the stages are legal.
  12. Lol are you guys in So CA?If so there's only one place this could have happened We are in the southwest.... of Ohio. Target World it is then. That place sucks.
  13. The holster you need must cover the trigger, keeping the muzzle pointing within 3 feet of the shooters feet and provide enough retention to keep the firearm in the holster. a good basic holster will do you just fine.
  14. LOL,you goofed, Bro I am sorry it happened at a major match.
  15. The MD was wrong. The line was not clear and the COF was not complete. The DQ was correct.
  16. Your raising your arm to reload. Instead keep your arm extended, roll your wrist to the right, bringing the mag out and up into the gun. roll your wrist over to th shooting position and bang away. This way your on target and are much quicker recovering your target after reload.
  17. I thought all my mags had six rounds one had 7. OPPS. that was the least of my issues at a match
