    SV Mags

Yes that would be great but I live in British Columbia and we are restricted to 10 rnd mags and we do three and sometimes four mag changes in a stage , a good challenge to figure out, when to change mags during the stage and if you have a make up to do well you get the picture ! a lot of fun I must say , what a great sport!!!! ..I wish we could do a stage with out having to do a mag changes .. 170 would be great you guys are lucky....

    SV Mags

Thanks I really don't like the idea of using a spacer either , Are the svi mags thicker material ? where as no feed lip adjustment is needed?

    SV Mags

I am getting a new custom open 9mm gun and the builder is suggesting I look at purchasing some SV mags with grams springs and followers to complete my set up. I know they are more expensive than sti mags but are they really worth the extra money ? Anybody have experience with SV mags?
  11. Does the DVC open gun run right out of the box new or is there a lot of tuning up and mods that have to be done $ in order for it to run good? What is every ones experience with this new gun?
  12. Is there anyone loading a 147 gr bullet ? Is there and advantage to meet power factor?
  13. Yes tried loading 1.10, 1.110, 1.120, 1.125, 1.130 ,1.135 none of them would fit in the storm lake barrel until I ran them through the Lee FCD. This did not effect the o.a.l. at all.
  14. Well the 30.00 experiment seem to work on the HAP issue , went and bought a Lee FCD today and put it in place of my crimp die on my dillon 550B and ran about 15 through and they all fit in the storm lake barrel no problem so. I put the rest of the ones. I had already made through the FCD and it worked out great they all fit now to . Thanks everyone for your in site and knowlage and its awesome that we learn something new everyday from everyone here on this forum.. Thanks million..
  15. Thats what the Hodgon site said oal 1.069 .. I will try a longer 1.130 - 1.145 and see if it seats in the barrels ..I will give it a go this weekend ..and yes I am using a separate seating and crimp die.. Dillon four stage 550b .
  16. The bulge from the bullet is all around the case and I have tried different cases with the same result even nickel plated case to. They work fine in my M&P 9 core stock barrel but not the storm lake barrel for my glock 17. tried to seat bullet deeper and shorter but the same result won't go down all the way all other bullets I reloaded work fine from Lead RN to TMJ to FMJ and plated ones its just these Hornady HAP .355 ones go figure!
  17. Thanks that would be an option but I live on Vancouver island BC and sending it to storm lake would not be an option but taking it to a gunsmith may be if I can find a good to do that around here. Thanks reaming the chamber sounds like a plan.
  18. I have a dillon 550b and trying to load up some HAP 125gr 9mm @ 1.069 col. Once I run through the stages and seat the bullet there is a bulge in the case where the bullet is then the final stage is crimp ok then test in the case guage and is all good then try it the storm lake barrel and its a tight fit and won't seat all the way down. I have tried different brass and even nickel plated and still the same. What seems to be my problem? I'm using all dillon dies. All other bullets are good and have no problem its just with the hornady HAP .
  19. I'm using the Comp-tec international holster and it works great and lots of room for the front sight so don't think it was the holster that is the issue. I think the front sight might have come with a slight crack maybe. Not sure. Never banged it or dropped it .
  20. I have a 9mm core and put about 9000 rounds through it without an issue , I have the delta point sight on it and works great. The other day at the range I was practicing and the the front factory sight broke off while I was shooting must have been cracked maybe ? Has anyone had an issue with the front sight ? Now try to get one out S&W its like pulling teeth.. Warranty dealers say it could be months ... Been that its the tall sight to co-witness is there another alternative to replace it with? Thanks Frustrated !
  21. I got a box of 1000 9mm 124gr berrys bullets and they said they were 0.356 dia. So I checked them and they range from 0.352 -0.354. Does anyone know why that is or is that the norm?

I bet the government is hoarding it all ! I know they get most of it to keep it away from us and we get the trickle bits that are left over ....
  23. Let me know how they worked out and gave you best results..
  24. Today went to buy some small pistol primers and I saw some magnum primers! Large pistol and small pistol from FC .. Does anyone use them ? When and what loads would you use them? What is the advantage over regular FC 100 primers.
  25. My bullets are jacketed , thanks for the info.
