  1. I don’t use the top slowdown. I used it briefly but didn’t need it. It probably drops the rate down by 50-75 rph. I usually run it at 1200 or 1500 rph if I’m monitoring it and re Filling components as it runs. I would say it’s very reliable at both those speeds. The biggest issue I get is smashing cases on the first station, it is infrequent however. I think the biggest thing is having the press and dies and everything setup, running perfect when it’s hand operated. Then it seems to be perfect when you add the M7. I don’t case gauge anymore. I just shoot it. Never have ammo problems. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. It’s fantastic. I would guess over 20,000 cycles on it. Loading .40, .223, 300 blk. Converting 300blk brass and process 223 brass. I’ve only broken 1 indexing ring, and 1 case inserter cam thing return spring, and those parts may have just been worn out prior to the M7. Swaging obviously sucks. That’s the only downfall, but that’s the nature of the 650. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. I’d buy one at half of the 1050 price. Maybe can get it without casefeeder and drop it down even more. I just want it to swage. I’ll do everything else on the mark 7 650. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. I’m interested if the OP is not. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. What happens if the Bullets are too small? Loss of accuracy? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. I don’t have any primer pull back problems with 223. I gotta say though, loading 9mm is the worst. It has primer pull back, crimped pockets, run the mark 7 at a 5 clutch, and if a piece of brass doesn’t get as much lube as the others it will stop. On the other hand 40 cal runs all day long at a 2 clutch and no stoppages ever, Unless a Piece of 357 sig gets in there. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. That’s nothing. Wait till you get a mark 7! Pulling the handle is dumb. [emoji6] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. They’re great. I’m with SCTaylor, they don’t pluck as nice as CCIs. No big deal though. What kinda deal did you find? I once picked em up for 18$ per K at cabelas. They were on sale, and I had a 20% off. I bought all they had. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. 2 screws and the whole assembly comes off. You do loose the “locator pin” as it’s part of the priming assembly. Don’t really get the “ultimate reliability” thing. The press works. User error is where the problems are. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Grab the platform and twist it. You will see the crank rotate at the location as marked in the picture. You should be able to shim it to take up some of the excess tolerance. I’ve noticed this in my press as well, I can watch the powder funnel insert into the brass off center and other times it will be centered. It’s intermittent. I haven’t corrected mine as I don’t really see any benefit at this time. My ammo is fine. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. I’m too invested in my 650 to go to a 1050. It’s 650 with Mark 7. Have Loading tool heads for 9, 40, .223, 300blk. Processing toolheads for 300blk and .223 I can’t imagine the cost to have 1050 conversions for all that. I mainly shoot .40 in uspsa anyway. The lack of swaging on the 650 is the worst part. I’ve got the Swage It dialed in to run LC brass decently. But any other brass and it either doesn’t swage or rips the brass out of the shell plate, rendering it useless. 12. I don’t think it can be done on a 650 either. Only station 1 and 2 is available with a trimmer in station 4. Processing tool head, I use decap on 1, trim on 4. Loading toolhead, M die on 1, powder, bulletfeeder, seat die, crimp die. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. I would guess I’m doing 10k. But the nice thing is not pulling the handle. Not spending the time reloading. If i want to bang out some rounds quickly I’ll set the machine on 1500rph, monitor it, refill brass, Bullets, primers, without the machine stopping, bang out 3000 rounds in a couple hours. Other times I’ll just set the machine on 900 or 1200. Set it stop after 100 primers and walk away do other stuff. Come back, refill primers, push start. Walk away. Repeat. 14. I just looked, sure enough. I always buy 180gr TCG. They have always been $223. And now $233. [emoji848] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Is anything else needed to attach to a 650? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Bayou. BFCM2017. 10% off cases. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. I used to take the rejects and flip them over. If they fall in And out easily upside down. I'd Call them good. Coated lead Bullets don't like the Hundo very well, imo. I quit case gauging all together though. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. You should have ditched the strong mount and got a mark 7 instead! ? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. It looks like the taper crimp set is a small base sizing die. The full length is not. Small base sizes full length as well, but a thousandth or 2 smaller than standard dies. Looks like the seaters are a seating/crimp combination die. I've never used a combo seating die. So can't comment. I use a Dillion trim/size die for sizing. Lee seating and FCD for crimp. You don't need both sets. I would probably get the Lee set. That's just me though. You will likely need a trimmer, since you're loading on a single stage, assuming not a large quantity. you could just use a Lee trimmer chucked in a drill. Lube is required. I like the Dillon lube or homemade lanolin/alcohol lube. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Have you tried the Facebook user group? There are a lot of commercial reloaders in there that run across a lot of stuff with their mark 7s. I can't see 9mm exceeding the torque. I don't even know what the means. I've never gonna past 5, and that's converting 300 blk brass. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. I thought I've read that the Dillon dies are a small base die. Not positive though. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. That's pretty normal for 9mm. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. I'm using 23gr. 8208. 77 grain TMK at 2.240". Avg. 2718 fps. 18" jp .223 Wylde. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. How is the brass getting destroyed before it begins to swage the pocket? Are we talking about the Dillon super swage or the on press mounted swage-it tool?? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
