  1. The big down side to the RMR is how short you have to load them.  For that reason I prefer Everglades V2, and secondly the Precision Deltas.

Thanks, I’m glad it’s not just me. Could this be why they do not offer a 147 gr’er?

I too remember the two press days. I would like to see them make a more professional tshirt rather than the “will work for bullets” suspect of being designed by the great guys on the production floor.
  2.  Xtreme consistently has offered 20% off on BF. Last year was the first with no free shipping. Now, this year it’s only 10% off, and no free shipping. Looks like new ownership is not going to be kind to reloaders.

Only 10% off on BF is not good enough for me. I chose not to buy from them.

Yup, I switched to rmrbullets.com, smaller company making their own bullets, and deals. Owner seems to be a decent family guy.
  3. Same findings here. Precision Delta and Montana Gold 124 gr. FMJs are now loaded to 1.100 oal for my gen 5s.

I’m curious if that small amount of extra rifling increases accuracy, if so why not make the barrel .100” longer.
No need to answer that. Oh, my LGS is having the Glock rep out for a sale day and I may question him just for the heck of it.

  4. I only get 2K at a time and have switched to FMJ which I have only ever seen in stock with Xtreme once! PD for me.
I had an interesting conversation with the RMR guy years ago which also lead me to switch away from Xtreme, not wanting to buy from an owner like that. Evidently the two are located near each other?

I bet the mailman loves you guys.
    Good luck, keep us informed.

  5. How can mixed headstamp brass cause a noticeable COL?

    Same question here.

Shouldn’t a shell plate properly tightened be exactly the same distance from the seating die every time? Or is it reading the head stamps (sarcasm, sorry).

Currently finding my Glock loads 1.140 do not plunk in my Gen 5 G19 barrel until I get them to 1.080. I’m guessing the answer is a different setting for the 19 (Montana JHPs).
  6. This might be a tough one to solve but you came to the right place.

Like Superdude said, you might start by measuring pertinent parts of the brass and compare with brass that runs well. Keep track of the numbers because you never know when they might be useful down the road. OTOH, the problem is infrequent enough that you might not pick up any significant variation until you measure a ton of them and not just 10 or 20.

Examine the guilty brass to see if it is seriously dinged up.

You might just run Win rather than mixed headstamps and see if the problem only arises when you have Win in one location and Brand x in another.  i.e. canting

And make sure your shell plate is properly tightened down since canting of the plate - for whatever reason - can cause a case to get wedged in.

But if you have a problem with certain brass, aren't all that excited about trouble shooting, and can live with some ambiguity in your life ... don't use that brass.

Yup, I toss the brass. If I had the shell plate in my hand alone the brass will not insert, like the brass groove is too small. Too much other brass on hand to worry about it and current factory ammo prices also defer my worries :)

    Thanks all
  7. 650 hand fed 90% Glock fired and I began tossing all the WIN brass years ago, tough to insert into shell plate and worse to remove. Heck with checking dimensions when this amount of “WIN” brass simply does not work. Spinning the case trying to insert does not help so I don’t think it’s the firearm but I’ll keep an eye on this thread.
    Good luck OP.

  8. Only problem with ZERO’s is you need to keep a five year supply on hand.[emoji23] when I got into Obama just got elected and I didn’t see a ZERO in stock for years.

    This.
I wanted to try Zeroes but could not find them, wrote them off as “fake news”, kidding but really couldn’t find them.
