Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. I don't know Homer, but in the Valley (Mat Valley), primers are difficult to obtain, powder is available, ammunition is available. You can transport 8 kg of powder and 5k primers through Canada if you drive. Shipping lead, ammunition, and primers to Alaska can be done through a shipper - I used Carlile (https://www.carlile.biz/ship-to-alaska/), but there are others.
  2. Barry, while not in practiscore yet, it is scheduled - staff shoot on 07/07, other competitors on 07/08 and 07/09. Hope this helps.
  3. The last time I flew into Sky Harbor on Southwest, I had to get one of the Southwest employees to bring it out--they said they didn't want to take a chance on leaving it at the oversize baggage area. Troy
  4. I'd have to go with Glock 26, my 1911 .38 Super with additional .22 top end, and a S&W Model 58. Troy
  5. I've only shot matches in eight states--I'll have to get busy one of these days. Texas New Mexico Arizona Colorado South Carolina Virginia Delaware Maryland Troy
  6. Troy is the man!!

  7. As Gun Geek pointed out, I find the key thing to tell new shooters is that they shouldn't try to go as fast as the experienced shooters. They must slow down and not try to blaze away. They don't understand that an experienced shooter looks like they're blazing, but are really in control and aiming their shots. Also, they need to be told that this is a fun sport and the sole purpose is to have fun. Troy
