Ordered a Dawson SS msh, aluminum STI trigger, and a brazos big mouth large hands. Should be squared away in no time!

Which MSH housing do i need? This is a PT CLASSIC grip. The MSH I have does not match up well at all. Any help would be appreciated.

I shot with El Prez at the Minnesota sectionals, and watched him use one of those mags on a stage where it was very beneficial. I thought it was pretty cool to have at least 1 specialty mag for stages where it will make a difference. Sidenote: I really enjoyed shooting with Mike and learned a ton.

I've seen a limited shooter start a stage with 23 in the gun at Area 3 and another at Minnesota section. Those were both mag gauge at chrono matches. I've got one mag formula that I believe will work, i wanted to see what other results with different mag/component combos people were seeing. I can't get 21 in my mbx's, but i can get 20 reloadable no problem.

Who is getting 22 rounds of .40 in there limited mag? What mag bodies, springs, followers are you using? I'm shooting a STI DVC, and i want to put together a legit stage starter mag.

Any updates or progress report? Dibs on shooting this blaster once finished!

I spoke Jem today, and they do make a regular frame with a square trigger guard. I sent them an email this evening about getting quote for a frame/grip safety 20lpi front strap. I thinking this is gonna be the ticket.

Looks like it has a full length dust cover. Is that correct? I need it to be single stack legal.

I'm looking to start a .40 build over the winter, and I'm having a hard time sourcing a square trigger guard frame. Not real interested bending one out. Any help would be appreciated.

So I just bought a used 6 inch STI eagle with a bushing barrel. I'm really not sure what recoil spring I should be using or even what is currently in the gun. I'm shooting 175PF .40 and the slide has been lightened considerably. Any help would be appreciated.

I really like my RIA pro match .40. I contoured the dust cover so I could run a STI edge holster and had a new sear and trigger installed, but that was about it. Runs 110% with MBX mags. That being said... My gunsmith told me he damn near dropped his chamber reamer through the barrel when he was checking it out, and it tumbles jacketed rounds at 10 yards or beyond. I thought it was the ammo at first, but it runs perfect through other .40's. I'm not putting a barrel in it, so I will just run coated lead through it from now on. Super heavy, shoots soft, and it was cheap.

Good info here. I'll be making up some dummy rounds this weekend. Good idea to simulate feeding and proper weight.

I've been shooting my pro-match .40 in limited a little. It's got a egw sear and guncrafter flat trigger, but that is about it. Runs 100% with mbx extreme mags. I have noticed it keyholes when i run extreme plated bullets through it.(ammo runs fine in other .40's). Only issue I've ran into.

What is the approx round count? I haven't seen it posted.

I'm thinking about having a .40 upper built for my 9mm trojan. Anyone here have any experience with this? Good, bad, ugly? Should i just get an STI .40 instead?
