  1. Anyone traveling from the Eugene area? I am shooting Friday-Sunday and tentatively am driving Thursday-Monday. Anyone up for rideshare or something? The wife wants me to fly but I would rather not if I could help it. Bob bjetinc@gmail.com
  2. You'll shoot Fri AM, Sat PM and Sun AM (everyone will shoot Sun AM, just some a little later in the AM.) Thanks. Looking forward to it. --bjet
  3. I just paid and squadded. The choices were AM/PM or PM/AM. I chose AM/PM. No idea what that means. 42 squads at 10 per, 420 slots. That counts staff. --bjet
  4. Modified slightly for an indoor range. Three small tombstones in a diamond at 10 yards. 8.4+0 First shots. Dead cold 7.49+.5 7.57+0 6.98+.5 6.88+0 6.96+0 6.92+0 6.66+1 6.96+.5 7.09+.5 I tested my draw to first shot and it's around 2.1-2.3. I need to practice more. Will PM for part two. bjet
  5. Because I have them. Due to an order problem (probably on my end), I had these at least three years before having a G19 to use them on. --bjet
  6. As does my G18 mag. The fit is better with this combination though. A little handier in the bedside safe too. --bjet
  7. The base pads have different angles and do not fit each other. At least G19s do not fith G17 mags. Never tried the other way. What number follower do you have? --bjet
  8. That is a good thought. It was recommended I "modify" the follower but couldn't figure out what to take off. I'll look at this. --bjet
  9. Anyone have this setup that works? I just bought two and with the latest mags the follower goes below the tube and jams. With a full magazine you only get two shots off. I know there are several versions of the follower and if someone has this working could you look at what version you have? I hit up my Armorer but he didn't have any spares at all. Next GSSF match I get to I'll try to hit up the Armorer there for some old followers to try. I did email Arrendondo but he did not know what follower numbers worked. These are just meant for around the house self-defense mags. Thankfully I tested them first. I have about 8 Arrendondo pads on 34/35 mags and love them. --bjet

I understand that http://www.uspsa.org has linked it now as well. --bjet
  11. http://www.kptv.com/video/20128648/index.html Becca had the pleasure of shooting in the Open class at the Limited Nationals 2(?) years ago. --bjet

    Mental Idiocy

You have a public range, indoor range no less that allows that??? I wish we did. I've heard of one in the Nashville area that has private individual safe lanes. Must be nice. They have never said anything to me but then I have a low digit membership and everyone from the owners on down know me by name. --bjet

Get my reloading done, fix up my other two CRSpeed mag holsters, grab my knee pads, new paster gun, stop at the ATM and get gas. Get to the monthly match a little late for me and find quite a crowd. Hmmm. Go in to pay and find it's a special Single Stack instead. If I had remembered I would have brought that. I can shoot anyway but it requires about three times the fee of the monthly match. That would be not quite three times the cash in my wallet. D'Oh!!! When I got home decided to go see the early show of Wolverine. Liked it. Then went to my local indoor range and practiced Live Fire Draws and Reloads for 200 rounds. I needed the practice, so between that and the movie sure put a more positive spin on the day. I hate when I do that. --bjet
  14. "Everyone blames the Lutherans." and "Get off my lawn!" Really liked this movie. --bjet
  15. Anyone have experience with these? I am looking at the Fort Knox among others to put on my night stand. There is a name brand my local range sells but I have seen samples that if you whack the sides with open hands the door falls open. I don't want one of those. --bjet
  16. Well crap. I was in his squad at the Area 1 Championships. My thoughts are with him. --bjet
  17. I forgot to ask when I was there but do press releases get sent out for this event? Specifically to the local newspapers? I was going to send a letter to the Register-Guard about coverage but if they didn't get anything about it they could use that as an excuse. We are now the #2 sport per dollars spent. Go us. bjet
  18. It was a bummer because stage 8 was our last stage but when we got there the squad ahead of us hadn't started yet. I understand the call though because it was really hot. I was starting to drag and can only imagine who the RO's felt like. It's tough because my friend isn't going to make it back Sunday and will zero the stage. I did like the match and hope to be back next year. bjet
  19. Match hotel appears to be full already. Whoops for me. --bjet
  20. At least around here you could also go to the largest gun show nearest you and check out some of the manufacturers who show up. The Cannon distributor was there. I also got to check out Fort Knox safes that way and ended up buying one. Very expensive. Incredible warranties and tradeins. I got the electronic lock. If a thief unsuccesfully tries to break in and ruins the lock they will come out and replace for free. Same if it breaks. If I want to trade up I get a 80% trade in value. They delivered and installed it including bolting it down. +1 on the bolting down too. There are examples around here of bigger safes then mine being cabled, tipped over, and drug out of the garage. At which point the thiefs decided that maybe it was to heavy for them to haul it off cause they probably couldn't get into it anyway. Not the sharpest knives in the drawer as it where. --bjet
  21. Albany is supposed to have a match with all classifiers at the next monthly match 1/13/2007. http://www.arpc-ipsc.org --bjet
  22. There have been a couple of accidental shootings as well. Someone shot there thigh in the parking lot unloading and someone in the booth shot their hand doing a press check. "No, really, I don't need to go to the hospital. Can't you just sew it up." He says to his Dr. buddy. "Uh, no" the buddy replies. Both were police. The booths have kevlar walls. I see evidence every once in a while that is a very good thing. --bjet
  23. I drove up this morning (Sunday) to spectate but that turned out to be silly. When I got there at 10AM a couple of people were finishing up stage 12 and that was it. Walked through all the empty stages. Looked really cool. After an hour heard some shooting and hustled over. Saul Kirsch was having Chris Tilley(?) run the stages with a camera on the bill of his cap. He was having trouble but finally got it working at stage 3 which was a fast shotgun stage. Saul showed us a little of the footage and it looked really cool. He said he was making a Nationals DVD. Can't wait. Watched them do 6 stages. Not a bad consolation prize. Hopefully this shot of Chris shows up. --bjet
  24. I have never had deformed brass in my stock G20. Maybe close to 10k reloads now. By accident I have had some pretty damn hot loads too. What I have found is because of the pressures run that 10mm brass does not last as long. It will eventually split. bjet
