Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. Maybe I'm overlooking something simple. The OAL of the 9mm rounds I load on my LnL are wildly inconsistent. Let's say I adjust for a 1.105 for my SP01. Then I run several more singles through to validate the OAL I start loading and periodically check length during the batch. Now I find varying lengths from 1.105 up to 1.119? WTH? I'm using Lee bullet seat and separate Lee crimp die. Case lengths, while no trimmed, just aren't that different. Doesn't seem to matter what projectiles I load, but mostly berrys 124 hollow point and Xtreme 147 hollow point. Help is appreciated.
  2. At least you got it over with early for in journey. True character is revealed through what you do going forward.
  3. Happened to me once. Turned out a spent primer unknowingly dropped down into the works. As I was tearing it down in despair and frustration, it fell out. Maybe pull the slide off and work the trigger to get a better idea of what's going on?
  4. I also run the 18 rounders. 3 of which did come in an earlier mentioned 3 pack. However, I've dropped a couple base pads also during moving reloads and spilled my pills all over the ground. MecGar sounds like an option to try.
  5. I run CCI primers with 9mm. I have the CGW spring kit with extended FP. About every 25 rounds I have a light strike. Second pull of trigger and round fires. I have the lighter of the two hammer springs installed. I ordered 3000 federal SPP last night. Hope that makes a difference.
  6. Really need to know what technique you are using. Mag well question is a good one too.
  7. I bought the CGW kits and followed the Atlas thread to perform my own SP-01 work. It is exponentially better than stock. I do still want a CZ custom shopped shadow though; just to compare.
  8. I followed this thread and performed the polishing and CGW trigger spring kit upgrade on my SP-01. Thanks Atlas for the great pictures and post. It is AMAZING how it changed the trigger pull. The only guage I have is a booger hook, but I can really tell the different. I love shooting this gun.
  9. The idea of quicker transitions with the standard shadow over the SP01 is internet lore. It jut a matter of preference and balance.
  10. I've had the same experience. Out of necessity, I've used 4.7 int'l with 200 gr. LSWC and love the way it shoots. But, I measured each and every charge. Have used it in a couple of local matches.
  11. It's really a Glock 34 or 17. We all try difference models for various reasons. Competitive nature maybe? In the end, it's Glock.
  12. Very nice looking. I've done a little business with SA custom shop. They are really great to work with.
