I am picking up a S&W Victory .22lr for static steel at a club level match. Anyone else have one? Do any work to it? I'm adding a TandemKross trigger/mag release, and charging handle. A barrel change may happen but it's not a done deal by any strecth. A red dot is not too far in the future as my eyes suck. I'm looking for grip options but am not loving any of those I've seen so far. If anyone has anything beyond what Volquartsen does and the HIVE or Houge options, please let me know.

I have a chrony. Lower case. I use the word chrony as short hand for chronograph. Mine is a Magnetospeed. Not a "Chrony" branded chronograph. It does not work well on handguns.

I'm mostly a rifle shooter. I'm just getting back in to handguns. I have a solid understanding on what it takes to load "hot" loads. I do have a chrony, unfortunately it doesn't work well on handguns (MagnetoSpeed).

I prefer the 124's as they shoot really well and give a solid smack on steel but would really like to know why I should NOT load 9Major? Is it simply unnecessary? Too much wear on the gun? Again, I'm mostly just thinking about trying it to try it. But if y'all are saying no I would like to know why.

I'm wondering if I should load 9Major. I'm running a Glock 19/3 with a comp. Gun is running well and I'm not having any issues with cycling. I'm shooting club level matches with no one checking speed/bullet weight. I think I'm mostly looking for something "funner" to shoot, with a little more snap. Current load: 124gn RMR JHP 5.2gn CFE Pistol Thoughts?

I believe that Modern Materiel in NJ can/will build one. There is a LE that takes a LOT of carbine classes that says he likes them and would trust one. I believe that they are also one of the few companies listed on the AG letter as a manufacturer. I don't have any affiliation with them or the LE.

I use Varget under an 80gn Sierra for FT/R @600 yards. I love it. Works well and my load is good from mid-50's thru low to mid 80's. Just a hair of elevation change. I'm shooting it in a bolt gun with a 26" barrel. I'm above max with no pressure. Now that Varget is easier to find, it's all I use in my precision .223.

Put a quick 100 bullets thru the gun. Functioned flawlessly. Reasonably accurate. I need to work a load up for this pistol which I've never done. I have done it plenty for rifle so I'm sure I'll get it figured out. But, the bullets are very nice.

I got 1k of the RMR 124gn JHP the other day. I loaded up a small run and will test it out in my Glock this weekend. I’m hopeful it works. The bullets are nice and the few I checked were within a few 10ths on 124. I’ll report back with my experience.

I'm glad I found this thread. I am just getting started shooting club level matches and am looking for a JHP at reasonable cost. I found RMR but was unsure of the quality. I feel a lot better about spending my hard to come by cash. Will order a couple thousand in the next week or so.

Yup. Sits closer to the frame than the Zev. I have a bum right thumb so I actually kinda need the extended/paddle style releases offered. I can make a standard release work but I have to significantly shift my grip to get it to work. With a paddle style I can just drop them. The extra leverage works well to my advantage.

@broadus123 Cute pooch! I use 242 most of the time. I used a drop of red on a comp and it was a difficult piece to remove. On comps, there is another product called Rockset that gets good press. Won't break loose because of mild heat (from shooting) but will break loose with normal tools. My buddy has been using it to good effect.

Not local but I sent a slide to Primary Machine. The turn around was awesome and their prices are quite reasonable. I had my Glock slide back a week to the day from when I sent it.

I was thinking pretty much the same thing but couldn't remember Prussian Blue. I'm glad that there are those smarter than I on here.
