Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. I'm glad my sporting clubs that I go to aren't like this. I shoot clays with my supernova tactical or my saiga 12. I'm actually quite good with the supernova. I have it threaded for chokes and shot a 40 last weekend.
  2. Thanks everyone. I'll just get both the svi and Wilson combat bulletproof, tube them both and see what one I like better and then I have a backup. I'll just keep things simple.
  3. So is the aftec that good? I ask because in trying to keep this gun as simple as possible and the aftec adds 3 parts. So I guess what I'm saying is the aftec that superior of a design over the traditional wc bulletproof?
  4. Hello, Does anyone have experience with the svi extractor. I'm trying to decide between the svi or the Wilson combat bulletproof extractor, also trying to decide if it's worth the extra $40. I really haven't read anything bad about either, just want to see what people with first hand experience think. Everyone with a svi seem to really like them. Or should I really be looking at the aftec. This would be going on a 9mm 2011. Sti tactical frame, Caspian commander slide, with a threaded bull barrel. This will be a HD, range and potential carry gun. http://www.sviguns.com/1101.php?indx=18 http://shopwilsoncombat.com/mobile/Extractor-70-Series-38-Super_9mm-Bullet-Proof-Blue/productinfo/415-S70/
  5. I've been using mosinvirus and other YouTube videos and it's been working out great
  6. I have the tritium meprolite rear ghost ring sight that I added a small amount of white sight paint for better visibility and I custom made a fiber optic tritium front sight (seeing how I use this shotgun for hd and sporting clays). I run a custom Nordic extension and have a plastic clamp just as extra insurance. It's never come loose. I run the low drag Nordic follower, and a wolf mag tube spring that I trimmed 9in past, haven't had a issue yet. Though the m4 spring is a good idea. I wouldn't get rid of the pg. If that's what feels good stick with it. It's about personal feel and preference and doing what's best for you. Throw a limbsaver on and call it good. After listening to everyone here about how the field stock was so much better and faster I tried it and it may have been "faster" but for me it wasn't better. My wrist was not a fan and I tried multiple lop to try to correct it. So now I run the m4 c-stock and I have no issues.
  7. The nova will run with the 870p without a problem. The 870 has been around much longer so it has the track record but the nova is just as reliable and has better fit and finish. The mesa stock was just fine when I ran it, but for me it just didn't have the right look. I didn't care for the look of the supernova c-stock and I've always loved the look of the m4 c-stock. I thought the supernova would look perfect with the m4 c-stock. So I bought a 2 position m4 stock tube (it screws into the supernova receiver without modification) and then for proper fit I had to carefully grind on the m4 grip and sn trigger assembly so I could get the trigger assembly back in. Then I added a third notch to the tube for a lop that was perfect for me. If you like the looks of the factory c-stock for the supernova, that route is much cheaper and easier to do and the factory sn tube is a 5 position.

  9. You won't find a better pump on the market than the supernova. I have a couple thousand rounds through sn tactical and haven't had a single issue. You just need to train with it to avoid short stroking it because of the 3.5in shell capabilities. It's my hd, sporting clay and everything in between gun. If you compair features it's really a no brainer.
