  1. So the shells fall out easier with the AP when running?
  2. I have 8up and 6up Taccom dual load carriers. I am pretty proficient with them on load two but notice when pulling the shells it gets really tough right before they come out (top of the "U" shape clip). This sometimes causes my shells to shift in my hand if I don't have a really firm grip. I know you can adjust the tensions but that is when they are sitting in the carrier, not right before they come out (Top of the "U" shape clips). My question then is the AP Customs a little easier to remove the shells. I thought I read a review stating this fact but was looking for the opinions from the shooters on here. Thanks, Adam
  3. There are numerous matches in Lee County, well just over the line on Zemel Road. There is a range called Hansen Range; - Mondays Night: IDPA 4 stages $10 - Thursday Night: USPSA 4 Stages $10 - Second Saturday Monthly IDPA match: 8 stages $25 - Every Sunday: USPSA match: 6-8 stages: $25 - Four Saturday Monthly 3 Gun: 3-4 Stages: $25 - Manatee Gun Range (about 1 1/2 hours away) Second Saturday: Monthly 3 gun, goes out to 200-300 yards: $20 - Universal Shooting Academy: 1 1/2 hours away, numerous local matches, and a ton of major matches.
  4. RippSpeed: I have the Gen 4 Kit as well. I am using a regular Glock striker and using the lowest power spring that came with the competition pack. I have not had any round fail to go off due to light primer strikes. I have shot International Frangible, Winchester, CCI Blazer, S&B, etc. It will be fine.
  5. I have to recommend Johnny Glock triggers. 1911 feel in your Glock. I have won multiple matches using them (including Area 3 Three Gun Limited Division). Adam
  6. I can not give Johnny Glock's trigger any more praise then others have already. All I can say is that I have installed one and I became the Area 6 Three Gun Limited Champion, won high overall numerous times shooting Limited in local matches (beating open guys) and winning other big local 3 gun matches. It is the closest thing you can get to a 1911 trigger on a Glock without switching to a 1911. Adam
  7. Thank you for that. I was wondering with the small dots so close how it would work. Guess I will throw the Eotech out of consideration. Guess I am going to have to go with a 2moa dot Aimpoint or an Eotech with the two dots (50/500). Thanks, Adam
  8. I just shot the Area 6 3 Gun Championship in limited. I won using a Leupold Prismatic but I am considering selling it. The Leupold is not day light bright and the long range stage had black steel targets. Granted my times were scored in the top 15 overall for the stage but that is because the MGM flashers at 200 fit inside the larger donut. I am thinking of either going with the Eotech with the AR ballistic drop (4 Dot) or looking at the Vortex spitfire because I have read that is actually daytime bright. Hope this helps, Adam P.S. It is a good feeling when your score would be in the top 15 if not top ten in the Tac Ops Division.
  9. I have had the trigger pin break on me after about 10000 rounds of major 40. The trigger pin broke in half. The best part is it happened during a match and it kept working because I didn't notice it until I went to put the gun away. Can't say many guns will work with half a trigger pin missing. Adam
  10. Anyone have a chance to shoot these barrels out at a distance. 300-500 yards? Also, has anyone shoot a hosing portion of a stage and then engaged targets at a distance? Thank you for the responses. Adam
  11. Called Henning, their brake weighs 3.7oz. - Rolling Thunder: 5.7 - Titan: 5.9 - Surefire MB556k.3.9 I have a surefire on one of my rifles and the weight is not bad at all. The Henning is actually lighter then the surefire and I hear the Henning is a good brake. Anyone have an rounds through the 16.5 Ultra from Voodoo? Thanks, Adam
  12. I guess what I am trying to get at is an 18" barrel with a heavy comp was way out of balance for me. So I need a lighter or a shorter barrel. Is the Henning Comp heavy?
  13. How does the 16.1 intermediate does at 400 and 500 yards?
  14. The Titan brake is too heavy...I had one. Is the Rolling Thunder lighter because I have read to works just as good.
  15. What is the weight of the 16" stretch barrel. It did not say on the website. Thanks.
  16. Looking for a lightweight 18" barrel for three gun. Here are some I am considering: - Voodoo 18" Ultra Light - JP Lightweight (although expensive) - Rainier Arms 18" mountain Rifle What other suggestions do you have. Also may consider the Voodoo 16.5 Rifle length gas system barrel. Input welcome. Adam
  17. Please keep me updated on the Gray Guns trigger job. I have read reviews that Gray is a little more in depth than Mr. Springfield; but it does cost a lot more with Gray too. Adam

    SPS Para Mags

Anyone using SPS mags in their Para. I have a P18 and I am thinking about getting 2 SPS 140mm mags that hold 23 rounds for 3 gun. Thanks for the input. Adam
  19. Ok, I have decided to bite the bullet and purchase a P30LS. I have obtained master class in both IDPA and USPSA with Glock but the P30 feels so much better in the hand. Some reason I have finally decided: - Bruce trigger job with reduced reset. - Dawson sights - Taylor Freelance nows much +5 extensions which means I can run the gun in 3 Gun. - IT FEEELS GREAT IN THE HAND. Just figured I would post, now I just need to sell one of my ARs to purchase the HK, which is the only set back....COST. Adam
  20. Well: I love my Glock but also like the 2011. I can run my Glock just as fast as the guys running their STIs at the local matches. That being said, if I did have some extra money I wouldn't mind having a STI. But if I can run a Glock just as fast (now this is just my situation) I cannot justify spending $2500 on a handgun. The OP can vouch on the statement of running the Glock as fast as the STIs. Adam
  21. I was reading some articles about new guns at the shot show. Supposedly CZ is coming out with a double stack 1911 in 9mm called the Chaos (Limited not open style). Thing is the MSRP is $4300!!!!! Seriously, I can buy an STI eagle or Edge, get work done, buy mags and ammo and still come out ahead of $4300. Heck, I can get 2 STI pistols for that amount of money. Just wondering what you think of the CZ Chaos and the price tag. Adam
  22. It is on the RSR website. It has it listed with coming soon next to it.
  23. I just saw that Millet will be coming out with a 1-6x. Looks like a 30mm tube. MSRP looks to be $500 and change. Adam
