  3. Well, if it makes ya feel any better, I joined USPSA this week. Gonna shoot my first match with my new STI Edge .40 from Derek Janowicz on Feb 6th. I am looking forward to it, gonna be a blast. I went and watched a match on Jan 2nd, to see how thing are done and get a feel for what I needed to get started. I think I may be hooked. My dillon 650 is waiting for the powder to show up so I can start loading.
  4. Out of Africa, mainly because I have spent so much time there, both working and hunting. Would have been a great place to be around the the early 1900's
  5. I'm a newbie, and I plan to shoot L10 for the foreseeable future!!!!! 1st match is beginning of Feb. Can't wait.
  6. Oldie bot goodie!!!!

I had a major SNAFU, and Brian seriously took care of me, even though it was my mistake. I am a customer for life, hope you guys support our host too! Thanks again Brian!!!!!
  11. I'm with Merlin, because he was so helpful today when I went to watch my first match! Shoulda stayed home tho, it seems I am going to HAVE to buy a $1800 limited gun now!
  12. What is a good OAL for a 230 gr SWC? I might try some.
  13. OK, I can see for scoring it would be a lot better, nothing to ralely decide, and there is a nice round hole, not so much of a tear.
  14. So, SWC are mainly for the larger holes then?
  15. OK, I have my Dillon 650 on the way! I am going to shoot/load 230 jacketed bullets, as I don't want the extra cleaning and my girlfriend is going to shoot too, so I don't want her to have to deal with the smoke factor. What are the advantages of SWC as opposed to RN? Assuming the gun will feed both equally well I am going to use: W231 Winchester brass CCI primers I hope that this thread is not redundant. I did a search, but did not find the answers I was looking for. Thanks in advance
  16. Umm, what did you say? Oh yeah, hearing protection is important, I agree. I can attest to some hearing loss, I love the electronic muffs!
