  1. I shot a local match for years where the stage designer was 5’4”, every single wall port was perfect for him. And he loved ports. I have not gotten over it yet, sorry
  2. Being 6’2” senior I have a lot of issues with port height. So anytime a shorter shooter has to get in their tip toes I have zero sympathy. What comes around goes around. Shoot’em as you see’em
  3. Looks like a good price, and I bet that new profile can be loaded longer than the RN. When will they be available?
  4. I doubt the Alien hold up with be number produced or weight, I think it might be the design of the hammer. I am not a likely user of the Alien, but I think it is a super cool design with new technology, but the single action type hammer might be an issue I hope it gets approved!!!
  5. In all fairness, you can give the newbie a $5000 gun to go out and shoot his/her first few matches and they are not gong to be competitive. Just not gonna happen. USPSA has a huge learning curve, and equipment is not much of the equation if you are being honest about learning the game. As stated too many times to count already in this thread, getting out of “C” class is about practice and figuring out the game.
  6. RHT The Sig CS rep was concerned about the exposed metal on the slide. I am ALL for a gun that looks used and broken in, but there is a reason slides have coatings/finishes on them, to protect them from the elements. In a short time the entire coating has come off in the hotspots.
  7. I can’t imagine that 1.095 is too long for an X5 Legion There is a ton of info about the Legion and loading data, most seem to be a minimum of 1.115 to 1.15.
  8. I would donate $20 if we got a CO sub-forum
  9. I want a flat shooting gun, recoil push is a non-issue to me with my 131pf 9mm loads. I will say that looking at video from last week’s match (1st match with the X5 Legion and 11# recoil spring), I did not like the muzzle flip, thinking about a 12# spring to experiment
  10. Beginners will learn, but more to the experienced ”Match Mentality”
  11. If anyone thinks a “B” shooter using a Glock is gonna pick up a 50+ oz. DA/SA gun and instantly become a Master is truly kidding themselves. This is about inclusion, about allwowing Production shooters who are shooting heavy OEM +4 guns to play in CO.

    VP9-B OR?

I think you are in the wrong sub-forum, the gun you are asking about is an HK
  13. Personally I would not want to be in an enclosed metal tube for 12+ hours with people who might have been exposed. I have to travel for work, luckily only in the USA these days, but no chance I would go to Thailand the way things are. That being said, there is a very low mortality rate, way lower than is being reported mainly because more people have contracted the COVID-19 virus than they know about. Why do I say this? Because some will have a very mild case and never be diagnosed with COVID-19. Healthy young to middle aged people (age gourds of WS competitors) are very unlikely to have a serious reaction anyway. But this is likely to get worse before it gets better.
  14. Here ya go, I did all the work for you a few years ago. I am out of the CZ game now but I suspect that CGW now has a much superior DISCO to the one I was using so it it very possible to get a much better end result.
  15. Ok, sent photos to sig, they want it back to look at it and likely redo the slide I must say Sig CS was amazing
  16. Has anyone seen holster wear like this? This is from 4 weeks of dry fire.
  17. Not that I am keeping track or anything..... But I got Popper HOSED on the last shot on the last stage of the South Carolina State Match (FREAKING great match btw) about 5 years ago and it was a long 8 hour drive home. At a local stuff is gonna happen, not the end of the world as you can’t expect things to be reset or set up perfectly every time
  18. Current popper calibration rules are a joke. You are testing a popper that has already been altered from it’s original setting. Yeah.... Let’s run down this rabbit hole because there are two kinds of shooters, those that have been hosed by a popper and those that WILL be hosed by a popper.
  19. I started reading it yesterday. The beginning talks about nerves and dealing with them. Not an issue for me Then talks about realistic goals, in a detailed manner. I think it will be a good read and worth the purchase price if you want to understand what is going on in top level match shooting and/or want to up your game.
  20. Bruce Gary has posted a bunch in “BOD February Rules” thread or a thread titles something to that degree
  21. The timer will tell what weight is best for a particular shooter. I can’t imagine a 59oz. gun is gonna be fast in a wide transition. I have. X5 Legion and was thinking of trying a regular X5 grip module on the timer to see if it made a difference. Ho hummm, have fun with the gun/gear race. I think I will practice some more
  22. Springs, sear, trigger are all components to the equation. Remember the Legion has different geometry to the P320 and the P320 X5 variants.
  23. There is a point of diminishing returns on weight. Think transitions. I am sure there is a weight that starts to hinder HF. What is that weight for any particular person? Only the timer will tell. This had to come from pressure by the heavy gun companies. I could care less, but you have to ask why? What does this add? Ho Hum
