  1. I teach kids who never shot in their lives to instinctively point the gun on target, because most of them are athletes or gamers they have the eye hand coordination at 7yds to put rounds in the A zone consistently. Then I move them to aim small miss small parts of the target like head or dot on chest and have them align the sites after the initial presentation. That split time from pointing on target to transition to site alignment for a shot is what we rep.... 7yds point shot all day, but know and be prepped to make that transition.
  2. Now work distance away from target and multiple targets to el pres.... Try putting your back to target as well, with a turn and draw. If your shooting A's shoot till you throw shots and look at your times.... Also recognize the difference between a controlled pair(second site picture) and a double tap. Out to distance you'll need that controlled pair. Goodluck
  3. Sweet thx guys, yea I'm really a Texas fan.... Love the state and had to separate some liberal ties in colorado. Right now I'm in San Antonio in an apt but I'm shopping around for some places in the hill country.
  4. Think the money which was competition helped push your session as well. When you shoot for fun it's not as effective as a wager, match, or competition to push you... When I shoot with my guys we always have a competition or beer shoot, and that's when most guys turn it on.
  5. Right handed left eye dominant. Shoot with both eyes open, and simply just push out in front of my left eye which keeps my head aligned... Have the advantage in weak hand/left hand slow aim and rapid fire strings. But don't notice any major issues... I think the same thing, to much emphasis put on something that doesn't seem to matter if you shoot a lot.
  6. My name is Mike Glover, I recently moved to Texas but commute between here and colorado. I spent 16 years in the Army and 11 in Special Forces and currently have a team in the guard/reserve SF unit in Texas. I teach shooting and consult, and look for new techniques and experience to increase the experience for my clients. Have spent years on here reviewing since I read Brian's book, 9-10 years ago. Look forward to sharing and learning. Thanks
