  1. How would you suggest I check the striker dragging out? The plunger spring is nice and straight. Currently it has the reduced power in there.
  2. I went through some tips that dskinsler83 offered up and it didn't fix the issue I was having. Though he was extremely helpful. I swapped back the stock striker spring and it's resetting correctly now. While I had it out I also tried the stock minus connector and had same issue. So right now I just have the reduced power plunger and Ghost connector. Trigger isn't very great. Going to give it a shot and might just get a trigger kit. Like I said before I might try a 4.5 or 5lb striker spring at some point.
  3. The brass juice guys are you still depriming before tumbling without pins? I take it no issues if you don't and run them in a dehydrator to get them dry real quick? Worried about stuck primers.
  4. Thanks. I just went down to my bench and dry fired the gun a few times. I noticed what was actually happening. The trigger safety won't reset all the way when the trigger is pulled and held back. When you cycle the slide the trigger goes about 95% of the way forward but the trigger safety is stuck. If you push the trigger forward it resets the safety fully. Like I said earlier I will go back to stock striker spring and see if that fixes it. Otherwise the Ghost Connector will have to be swapped out for the OEM minus connector leaving only the reduced power safety plunger spring. If that isn't satisfactory for me I might get one of the Glock Triggers or Zev Fulcrum triggers since all the parts are already mated and tuned to work together. Though it's $150ish bucks I rather not spend.
  5. Well I shot it today in a match and was having reset issues again. Not as bad as with the Ghost trigger spring but still bad. I might not have noticed it at the range in those first 100 rounds as I was shooting slow to test different loads. We had a couple of speed style shoots and it was not keeping up what so ever. It seemed to reset almost in 2 stages. I think I will go back to stock striker spring for now. Once I put an order together somewhere I will try a couple of different spring weights or just say screw it and run it stock (minus the connector and plunger spring). What is the stock striker weight?
  6. Well I hosed out the lower with a lot of CLP and gave it a good scrubbing with a toothbrush. Was able to get everything squeaky clean but the trigger group. It is much better than it was but could stand a lil more TLC. I also gave the upper and BCG a good cleaning....it needed it too. I will probably pull the trigger at some point soon and keep a better eye on things. I don't plan on shooting a ton of PCC this year probably only Steel Challenge once a month.
  7. Yah I guess I wasn't looking at the lower too much...might explain the few issues I had on the last stage of the last match of 2018. Has 3 rounds that didn't quite cycle right (guess it could have been ammo too). Going to clean it up the best I can with CLP...if that doesn't do the job I'll have to grab a can of brake cleaner tomorrow. Thanks
  8. So I took my PCC apart last night and realized how absolutely filthy the lower is, magwell and trigger pocket has a lot of powder residue in it and dust. I shot probably about 5-6k out of it last year without cleaning it much other than the bolt and a bore snake now and then. How should I go about cleaning the lower out? Spray CLP all over and whip it down? Not sure. Thanks
  9. Got 200 loaded up last night with what we'll call 4.35gr of TG. It was throwing between 4.3 and 4.4. We'll see how they do on Sunday during a match. Interested in seeing what kind of fouling I get. I've only used coated in 9mm before and gave up on them as the fouling was pretty bad, though I think it was a combination of the barrel (it was tumbling just about everything I shot through it including factory) and having a hard time keeping them at .356 or larger without the brass swaging them down.
  10. Thanks Eman, I actually got out to the range this morning. I had to go to a DNR Fudd range as my private club is a sheet of ice so I wasn't able to chrono. 4.9gr of Unique and 4.5gr of Titegroup shot the best. Once the weather cleans up a bit I will chrono the two and tweak them. Going to load up 200 for next weekends indoor match. Undecided on which powder yet going to sit down and study the targets a little more but leaning towards TG. Thinking I can drop the TG a bit, just will need to do some Auto Disk hole modifications. Once I finish up all the 9mm I need to get loaded I will pick up a caliber change for the 650.
  11. Excellent Video. Thanks I might have to try this out. Maybe with an AR grip first before I take it to a pistol frame.
  12. Might be fun to make an Open 17 but for Minor PF in Steel Challenge or 3gun...if I have some money to burn one day maybe...
  13. I went back on Ghost's site and it mentions nothing about not using the trigger spring on Gen4's. This is the kit I bought but it only included the 4lb striker spring Ghost 3.5 Ultimate Trigger Kit It obviously doesn't work...no harm no foul but was a little bit frustrating.
  14. Or have a bunch of great help on this board Wasn't a bad learning experience though, I have a bunch of experience now tearing down a Glock 10x easier than my old XDs.
  15. First time I went to a USPSA practice at my now home club I finished my run and was like "man this is the most fun you can have with clothes on " Then about a year later after shooting a good bit of USPSA and some IDPA I tried 3gun...now that is my most fun you can have with clothes on activity. I am planning on focusing more on USPSA this year as my pistol game needs work but will still shoot a little bit of 3gun. For shoes I have been wearing some New Balance cross trainer type shoes, they are officially worn out and will be looking at Boombah Hellcats for this upcoming season. Going to order them soon. Welcome to the Club...prepare to open your wallet
  16. I use TG in my Taccom ULW upper. It only has a 5.25" barrel so that might be part of the reason it works well. I found 147gr didn't work very well for me at distance, but I only tried Xtremes so that might be part of it. 124gr Xtremes were okay out to 25yards which works fine for most USPSA matches but I wanted a little more. I picked up the 124gr JHP from RMR and loaded them over 3.8gr of TG making about 135pf. The groups at 50 yards were the same size as the Xtremes at 25 yards. I'm working on loading up 5k of them right now even though I don't plan on shooting too much PCC this year besides maybe in Steel Challenge, going to focus on Limited this year.
  17. It is a Gen4 good to know. I have read online you didn't use it on Gen5's but nothing about that on Gen4.
  18. Well I spoke too soon. After cycling the slide to the rear about 30x it started not resetting again. I swapped back to stock trigger spring and all is well. Stock spring honestly feels a little better anyways.
  19. So stubborn me kept at it and it's working now...I might not have been getting the trigger spring set down in there just quite right but it was in correct direction. I started swapping parts back one at a time with the trigger spring being the last thing. It's working fine now and feels a little better than the stock minus connector. But hey on the plus side I can tear a Glock down really fast now I will keep the factory parts in my range bag just in case.
  20. I just put a Ghost Spring kit and ultimate connector in my brand new Glock 35. It has only been dry fired a bit. When you pull the trigger to the rear and rack the slide and release the slide at full force the trigger only half resets. If you pull the trigger and rack it without holding the trigger back it usually resets fine. I uploaded a quick video of what it is doing : Reset Issue I am a Glock newb so I might be doing something stupid. I watched a few videos on how to install the kit online and it seemed so easy...lol i disassembled it twice now to make sure everything looked correct and it's still happening. Any ideas? I might seal the stock parts back in to see if that fixes it and try another time. EDIT - I just swapped back all of the parts besides the reduced power firing pin cause that was a real PITA and it's resetting fine...so obviously something is up. Thanks
  21. Thanks I think I will bite the bullet soon, I gotta knock out 10k 9mm first Hopefully I can do atleast 500 later.
  22. I've had my 650 for about 3 years now. Loaded about 20k rounds of 9mm on it (I haven't been shooting as much) but plan on upping my counts more this year. I also am reloading 223 on turret using as single stage (uggggh) and just picked up a 40 and started that up on my Lee turret as well (test loads being fired hopefully Saturday). I don't shoot a ton of 223 (about 1500 rounds a year) but working on stock piling 5-6k. I'm sure I will be shooting about 3-5k of 40 over the year now. Is it worth it to setup my 650 for both? I don't see myself buying the Dillon trimmer for 223 if I do at the volume I reload (using a WFT trimmer right now). I'm kind of intimidated by the caliber changes as I haven't done them before...hell I haven't done any maintenance other than screwing my priming arm back in as it started to back out on the 650. My other thought was picking up a 550 so I don't have to touch my 650 and just leave that for 9mm (but obviously more money). Do I just need to suck it up and give it a go? I watched a few videos on YouTube it doesn't look that hard but quite a few steps. If I do I probably will load up the 10k worth of 9mm projectiles under my bench first before messing with the press.
  23. Thanks everyone data on TG seems pretty close but the Unique data is all over the map 4.4~5ish grains. I loaded up 10 rounds batches of the following earlier to try out hopefully Saturday. Hopefully weather is decent enough I can chrono them. 180gr Blue Bullet - 1.140 OAL TG 3.9gr (I know this is going to be sub major) 4.1gr 4.5gr Unique 4.6gr 4.9gr Reason for the unusual numbers for powder charges is that I was using a Lee Auto Disk to measure. I figure I will fine tune after the initial batch aka bust out a file and modify the cavities for different charge weigts. I just initially want to get something that works because I have an indoor matches in slightly less than 2 weeks I hope to be able to shoot my new gun. Once weather is slightly better I can spend some time outside doing thorough testing.
  24. I ended up finding a closeout price on the DAA Racer holster for $100 so I picked it up. I figured worse case the price I paid for it if I switch guns and need a different insert the price difference isn't much to just sell it off and buy a whole new holster. I have no plans on switching platforms in the next few years as I want to carry same platform as my competition gun. Still need to order a Safariland holster for 3gun as I don't think using a raceholster is wise.
