    Firing pin block

What is the test method for determining if it works?

    Getting SA pull down

Before I did anything to the T3 disco, I put it on and neither SA nor DA would fall. Then I did minimal removal, barely removed the sharpie mark, still neither SA nor DA would fall. I then did a bit more... so on. I did about 5 rounds of that, and still neither SA nor DA would fall. At that point, I realized the T3 disco is probably already ruined, or, maybe I have not removed enough material? I guess the key piece missing is, what behaviors characterize not enough material removed, and what would indicate too much have been removed? I tried PM'ing you, but if you're still having this problem, do the following - remove some material from the wing of the disco, as it is not allowing the trigger bar to slip. I'm going to attempt to fit a T3 with a Titan hammer. Before I do any fitting, what should I see happening with the oversize T3 installed? The double action should function normally? If not, fit the wing as shown above? If DA won't break, hit the wing. Very carefully, lol. Keep hitting the inner disco area if no reset. Thanks for the help. DA wouldn't drop on my initial install. I carefully broke the edge on wing with a small file. Third test fit it was good to go. DA dropped and SA reset. I did not have to touch the inner area at all. Next step is to test fire.

    Pistol competition will be kaput.

I don't see the problem with allowing PCC's. Competition is important to us all, but at the end of the day this sport is about having fun. Personally I'm excited about being able to just if a PCC purchase. The "P" in USPSA is for practical. We all seem to forget that and think of this a a pistol game. USPSA missed the boat on 3gun big time and this could be help get a foot back in that door.

    Sig MPX

The MPX may be expensive, but it does offer ergonomic controls and modularity. I'll take those features for the same entry price as a Pakistani built HK pistol. I have always wanted an MP5 style gun, but I can justify the cost for what you get other than cool looks and nostalgia.
  7. Has anyone claiming this demo is a DQ for a 180 break actually shot any matches that have required using sling with an unloaded rifle or shotgun?

Akai Single Stack legal for Single Stack?

I've been following this for entertainment purposes only. I don't see any rule violations. -fits in box -makes weight -correct length dust cover -no slots or holes milled through the slide

    Glock Recoil

I switched from a Glock to CZ this year for USPSA production. I'm still shooting the Glock for 3gun. Both guns have recoil, there's no way around that. I feel more of the recoil with the CZ, but it tracks better and feels faster. It took some time to get comfortable with the different recoil impulse and timing. With the Glock I notice less of the recoil and maybe a little more muzzle rise/flip. The polymer frame has a lot of flex and absorbs a lot of the felt recoil. For me the main difference between the two is the CZ is easier to shoot long or tight shots with.
  11. This was my second ProAm. I shot the pro match this year and had a great time. The weather was perfect this year! I want to thank all of the volunteers and sponsors that help make these matches happen. Overall I thought the match was great. We ran pretty much on or ahead of schedule. The stages were each challenging in a different way. Timing out is no fun, but stage strategy is part of the game. I was disappointed with a few small things. I have a strong opinion on these two small items. Please do not take this as criticism of the whole match and all the hard work that went into it. 1. The barricade/support device ruling. A shooter shouldn't have to take a small hand stop off their rail for fear of being bumped to open if they touch a barricade . Just ban the Silo. (I removed my handstop to be safe, I don't use it for support, but there were some great awkward positions and weird shit happens on the clock) 2. Start position in Pro #4 ( Sling It) was a joke. Sling around neck, magazine in hand ready to load. This irritated me because it made the sling requirement a technicality instead of testing a shooters sling/rifle manipulation skill on the clock. Specifying hands relaxed at sides rifle slung would have been perfect. Rant complete. I can't wait to shoot this match again next year!

    Glock 43 Sight Preference?

I put 10-8 Performance sights on my G43. Plain rear and tritium front. They're low profile but have a nice sight picture. The Trijicon HD and Sevigny seemed too tall from pictures I saw. I also prefer a plain no-tritium rear so that made the 10-8 an easy choice. G19 with Warren-Sevigny Sights on top for reference.

    CZ Rear sight alternatives?

Has anyone tried fitting a Warren or Heinie rear sight to an SP01 Shadow? I'm not wild about the shallow notch on the CZC sights.

    Yup...did it...Glock 43!

Here's a brief range report for my new G43. I haven't put many rounds through it. About 150 rounds over two days. So won't make any reliability claims just yet. I would like to note that it's been 100% so far. I need to start logging an exact round count. Here are my main a few takeaways so far: - It's easier to shoot and not as snappy as I was anticipating. - Conceals great and is very comfortable in a Bladetech Klipt holster. - The trigger is a little heavy, but manageable. You need to respect it and focus on a good straight back press. I suspect a good polish job and more trigger time will help quite a bit. I need to look into the Ghost connector. Brief research shows mixed results. I installed a 10-8 Performance Sights: Tritium Front (0.125" wide) and plain rear (0.140" wide notch) - They are the same profile as the stock sights, and a nice crisp sight picture. I chose smaller rear notch to offset the short sight radius. Here's a target with 5 rounds fired at 5, 7, 15, and 25 yards. No time limits, just going for all alphas. I shanked a few at 25 yards. Got a little careless with he trigger control. This was a mag dump/bill drill at 7 yards. Had. Little trigger freeze on the last shot and pulled it straight down on the last shot. I was tracking the sights as quickly as I could. I did not have a timer with me the first day. Glock had a real winner with this gun. Sure it's a few years late but so far it seems like they got it right.
