  1. Wish they had 10 rounders for a couple of loaders.
  2. Glad to hear that the Duramags are working well for everyone. I think for years that good money should not have to be spent on mags and then the shooter has to tune on them. We, as shooters should not have to tune anything that the manufactures sell as working products. JMO on this. I will be checking out the Duramags. Thanks to all for the info.
  3. As mention earlier in this post, nobody will out run a 2011, period ! The balance of the pistol is critical. Transitions can be as good with a heavy gun just as good as a light pistol. Travis Tomasie could prove it the best, but he does have some big guns on him. Sorry Travis. Tommy Roupe
  4. I am looking forward to seeing the hands on reports. I just picked up 2 of the Military Armament Corp, SDS company shotguns. Copies of the Benelli M2's. They are amazing for the money. Really looking forward to it.
  5. I have modified thousands of poly grips over the years, but steel is the best way to go. Simple physics. Tommy Roupe
  6. Also check that the bullets are not hitting the comp, EGW makes a great reamer to keep the baffle holes clean. As mention earlier, your bullets will deposit lead in there.
  7. Not attempt to say anything bad about the grip, I like the idea of it very much. The only recommendation that I can give to all of the grip stipplers out there. I have done thousands of STI/SV grips out there, thanks to Dawson Precision, Clark Custom Guns, EGW and many more. Roupe Grips/THR Technologies has been represented all over the world. My only recommendations is cutting or shaping the contour can be dangerous, only because of the Kevlar dust associated with the cutting. Can't even imagine about the smoke created by the stippling. DO BE CAREFUL FOLKS WHO ATTEMPTS THE GRIP MODS, I do like the grip though. Hope it takes off. Tommy Roupe
  8. Was the Cheely grip hard to fit ?  Thanks in advance.

It was all pretty much drop in until I cerakoted it.  Depending on how that goes will decide how much re fitting needs to be done.

once coated “everything” had to be fit.  I used some 1000 grit sand paper to get it done.
eaigber wag the Cheely mag wells are very difficult to fit.  It required a lot of material to be removed from the internal walls and the bitch that the grip slides into as well.  I hope I never have to fit a Cheely mage well ever again.  😂

Btw I did two Cheely grips and mag wells.  It was the same for both.

  9. I know this a old post, but many years ago, I tried one of the CCF frames. Great idea but it would not run. I agree with the flex. I hope this works out, I do like the idea of a heavy Glock, especially if it will run.
  10. Just noticed the post, sorry to hear of Tim's passing. I have not shot at Ant Hill in many years. Tim was a great guy that was always at the match and could be counted on for NC State matches. Tim and his fellow shooter Joe Justice were the Ant Hill crew. RIP Tim Tommy Roupe
  11. Yes Sir, good luck. I can tell you that Todd could shoot that pistol design very well. He told me that he felt that he could shoot it as accurate, if not more than a standard 1911 setup. Many years ago for sure.
  12. It has been so long ago but Todd Jarrett told me how to do it on my LDA, mine was a 45. Try and reach out to Todd on Facebook and tell him Tommy Roupe told you to check with him. It has been so long, Todd may not remember either. Todd shot his as fast as his 1911's and commented on better trigger control due to the design.
  13. Dawson Precision used to make a very nice rail for the dust cover.
  14. Shot the 322 again today. Four different shooters tried it. The trigger is great and it shoots a little high. It did not miss a beat with the federal ammo. Two of the shooters are going to pick one up. The magazines are staggered with the ammo, did notice that it is important to load the magazines with the ammo staggered the way it was designed for the full 20 rnds.. 20 rnds per mag is also great.
  15. Shot one today, it shot very well and the trigger is great for a out of the box 22. I hate to say it, but it blows the Glock away without trying. Accuracy was good and it did not miss a beat.
  16. Make the rounds longer for this pistol. I agree with Trace. If your rounds are to short for it, it will give you a bump. Also if they are short and are being forced into battery, the bullets could be driven back into the cases and making your rounds pressure rise more than needed. You will know when your OAL is right, it will feed as slick and smooth.
  17. Dawson has the best extended FP to their specs.
  18. Do realize that just because the package may have said 17lb spring, it could have been a 15lb spring. I have seen it happen. Sounds like something may be dragging. CCI is some of the hardest primers going also.
  19. Plenty of go juice. Oil or Grease or both. Is it getting enough gas ?
  20. Considering the grips are about $34 dollars or less to Staccato, sounds like a gallon of gas.
  21. EGW makes the best T. guide rods going. If you are looking to soften up your pistol, add a steel grip if it does not have one.
  22. You also can make the fiber dot a little bigger by melting it a second longer.
