The so called dots are really dimples - my understanding is that the dimples are on all of the new 9mm 5 inch barrels which are 1:10 twist vs the old 1:16 twist.

Insert a washer to change the angle - this has been discussed on the forum. A search should turn the thread up.

This is good news. The M&P Pro 5” 9mm went from 27.44 ounces to 29.2 ounces. As compared to my M&P which weighs 28.82 ounces with the large backstrap, I now have plenty of room to add an uncaptured tungsten guide rod (should add a net 1.11 ounces). Thanks to Ngthwk1911 and any others for facilitating the change.
