  1. I would vote for south Florida - much warmer than "The North" in the winter.
  2. I'm pretty positive that thumb rests are not legal for USPSA Limited. The only one I have seen is by Magloc - see http://www.smartlock.com/SLAp08/productsS&W.htm
  3. Can you post a link or a PDF/scan of the stage and description? That would help.
  4. Bottom line is that if you live in central, south or west Florida, and your willing to drive up to 2 hours, you can shoot almost every weekend. Good luck with the move.
  5. Seems odd - I would have thought your problem stemmed from the gun, not the mags. The only hard insertion issue I ever had was with my Shield with a fully loaded mag - but again, the issue is no with the base pads. I would have a smith knowledgable with M&Ps take a look at yours. Bets of luck
  6. I also run a M&P Pro 40 5" - Limited SSS ESP Brass Mag well - 3.7 ounces SSS Tungsten Guide rod with 14lb Wolff spring Custom trigger job by Pedro Ortiz - 3lbs, less take up, very little over travel and short reset Taran Tactical mag bases Costa Catalyst mag release Apex extractor Heinie Ledge Sights
  7. Looks like the supply issues may be over - hopefully, S&W has found a permanent solution.
  8. Another way to go is to remove all of the Apex parts in favor of the stock M&P parts and have a custom trigger job done by a professional. This would be my recommendation and there is no one better than Pedro Oritz to do it to your M&P. See his web site at http://ortizcustomgunsllc.com. No affiliation other than I am the beneficiary of his work.
  9. Check out Shannon Smith in this video. http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=KJrA7wMXuuQ
  10. Welcome to a great resource. Good luck on the reloading.
  11. After shooting, follow close benind the RO to actually see your hits and understand your misses, procedural errors ans no-shoots. Seeing the results first hand is very helpful.
  12. M&P 9mm 17-round mags are back in stock at MidwayUSA for $33.99. Good luck as they won't last long
