  1. Yea, I contacted them last week and it'll be 6-8 weeks before they have inventory
  2. Im looking for a G17 L slide, either OEM or aftermarket, but im having a hard time finding any in stock. Anyone know where I could find one?
  3. Have a lead for a good buy on one (cheaper than the PRS), but I can't find anyone to try it out and there don't seem to be many reviews out there either. Just looking for some general feedback.
  4. The Flashpoint also has the triangle FO. Thats why Im struggling to see much of difference between the two.
  5. I see the flashpoint is longer, and cheaper. Both sights are made out of steel, so what am I missing? Why the $15 price difference? I'm leaning toward the flashpoint right now because longer FO= more light gathering unless someone can point me a different direction. Has anyone else figured out a better way to secure the non-screwed on end other than a zip tie?
  6. The huge majority of my shotgun experience has been turkey hunting and the rest has been with fixed chokes, so i really don't know much about anything other than cylinder and x-full. What chokes are the most versatile, what can I safely shoot slugs out of? Buck shot? Anything you can teach me would be great!
  7. Anyone w/ a 23" barrel on their 870, can you tell me the distance between the bottom of the threads on the mag tube to the end of the barrel please? Im debating between a 21" and 23" barrel and the extension I can fit on it will influence my decision. Thanks a lot!
  8. I am working on a $100 Police Wingmaster 870 and basically want to learn everything I can about custom tuning a shotgun on a project I dont have much invested into. What are some common tune-ups, upgrades, etc. people at the high end custom shops do to 870s? Loading port work? Lifter work? Trigger work? Action arm work? Just looking to learn as much as I can while making a pretty nice little shotgun. Thanks!
  9. So I know most of you pay the pros to do open up your loading port, polish the action, etc. well I have some beaters I'd like to try my hand at, but what tools, polishing compounds, techniques are used? Are there tutorials out there that could helps learn? Thanks!
  10. why wouldnt u want a collapasable stock for 3 gun last year at rock castle we shot out of a car. the stock colllapsed was better than an ace i have ace also but u cant shorten it for 1 stage i also shoot out of a lot of vehicles a lot. easier to do even with 11.5" bbl. must be a bitch with the long bbls u guys seem to need. what am i missing. jjw Well i personally cant stand shooting "nose to CH" so the added stability as well as having a rifle length buffer system is better for me. Can't speak for others though.
  11. This intrigues me...Do you have any pictures of this set-up?
  12. Has anyone handled both? I've narrowed down my choices to these two. Weight between them is negligible. I'm average height so LOP really isn't a huge factor, but I think the MOE is slightly shorter. Specs on the rest of the rifle are: Seekins receivers WOA 18" rifle length SS barrel 15" seekins SP3R ALG trigger JP LMOS JP Comp Thanks for any help!
  13. Thanks for the help guys. Another question: what is the practical differences between the Nova and Super Nova? I know the supernova can have the comfortech stock, but aside from that is there anything between the two? Dimensionally, they appear to be the same.
  14. I need a new barrel, im considering a factory Remington barrel and a Carlsons barrel. Any advice either way?
  15. So I currently own a 24" Nova that I used for turkey hunting for a few years, but have since graduated (its in great shape...maybe 100 rounds through it). I found a complete Police Magnum 870 (minus a barrel) for $100 so I picked that up too (was a police trade-in). Now the question is: What should I do? A) Add an extension and change sights on the Nova and use that for my 3 gun pump shotgun and buy an 18" barrel for the 870 and use it as a fun range gun B ) Hold the Nova for trading barter for a future purchase (say an M2) and buy a 24" ribbed barrel for the 870 and build that into a 3-gun shotgun. What say the pros here?
  16. I'm on a phone so I probably missed it, but how many rounds is that mag extension tube? Thanks The tube is a +9 Nordic Components. A stock nova holds 4+1 so the gun holds 13+1. Oh wow, wasn't expecting that.It looks like it only sticks out about 3-4"...would a 7 round extension be approximately flush with the 24" barrel?
  17. As I delve further into this sport, I seem to find more questions than answers and my past hunting experiences have shaped all I know. So with that said, I'm looking for a sight set-up for my benelli that would be best for 3-gun. I assume a FO front sight, but I don't know. Anyone run mid beads? Rear sight? Aperture? Rifle sights? Etc. What would you suggest I look into? Thanks for any opinions!
  18. I'm on a phone so I probably missed it, but how many rounds is that mag extension tube? Thanks
  19. Thanks for the input, appreciate it. However, I think I will be doing *some* precision shooting with this rifle, and I dont plan on using the load that the reticle is calibrated for so thats next to useless to me. The more I think about it, the more I think the Burris Reticle just isn't right for my intentions. Unless anyone sees a flaw in my logic?
  20. I'm looking for a sub $150 single stage trigger, and I've heard great things about the JP. My question is how hard is it to properly tune for someone who hasn't done it yet?
  21. Well id like to settle on the Burris pepr mount, but knowing me, I'll probably get something from American Defense.
  22. Thanks for the input. I can find the capped PST for a few buck cheaper than the Mtac, and the exposed turret model for about $15 more. So yes, price is a wash. The fact I want to be able to do some more precise shooting has me leaning to the PST
  23. I had a chance to look through the PST today, and I tell ya, its going to be hard to say no to that, but I still want to look at the burris reticle before I choose.
  24. And this is what I'm concerned with. I don't like the reticle on paper, but I will reserve judgement until I get somewhere that has one to look to through. This gun isn't primarily for precise shots, but it will probably be my most capable gu , so I'd like the option, and that big dot in the Burris effectively ends this. But still open to all opinions, thanks!
