It does weigh 10-12 oz more than other plastics which could have an advantage with recoil and follow up shots. Weighs around 36oz which is lighter than a CZ or tanfo but heavier than a glock or m&p. I thought I heard the DPP holes will line up with the x5 optic holes. However, you would need to file a little material off the front of the optic or off the slide itself to get it to fit. I've used both but the m&p was years ago. I liked the gun but had problems with accuracy out of it. I think that issue has ben fixed. I think the big bonus of the X5 is the 9mm bull barrel and the built in weight inside the grip. Those are really awesome features to have in a plastic gun. I've been loving my X5. Put a small piece of cardboard in between the slide and the barrel hood to keep the gun just slightly out of battery. This way you won't have a dead trigger. It'll move back and forth with your finger. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
