  1. Check out red hill tactical. He does awesome holsters and believe he makes a dropped offset hanger similar to the boss hanger.

  2. Relax.... loosen your grip with your dominant hand so your trigger finger has more dexterity. Tighten your grip with your non dominant hand....... what kind of splits are we talking about here anyway?

  3. I tested out some 125g blue bullet truncated cones yesterday. Not as accurate as FMJ's but I was able to keep it in the head box at 25y without much problem. That's good enough for what I need to do.

What's the process for cleaning the lead build up on the comp? (I'm pretty new to open lol)

  4. I been practicing few times with blue 125 gn. In super Comp accuracy sucked but I think I was over crimping. In 9 major I still need to test more
I found some 125g TC blue bullets to try. I let you know how they work for me.

  5. I have tried blue bullets bayou bullets acme sns casting black bullets all shoot great all smoke and all lead up the comp
Thanks! Did the hitek coating of the black perform any better or worse than the polymer coating of the blues?

I think I will try a sample pack of blues. You think there's any performance difference between the round nose and the truncated cone they offer in the 125g?

  6. Anybody using coated bullets in their open gun? Is one kind better than the other? Such as polymer coated blue bullets vs hitek coated black bullets.

Let me know what you're using and how well it's working for you.

  7. Yeah, surprised me too.  He gave me a few to try and they struck me as relatively soft.  I noticed in another thread that Atlanta sells 9mm major 147s.
Heck I might as well give my 135's a try. I have a bunch I use for carry optics lol

  8. I'm using 125s but I loaded up some of the 135s I've been using for production and they ran fine.  Did not really feel a difference from the 125s, but then again I was just curious and haven't tested it seriously.  On another note, a friend of mine who is GM in open is running 147s these days.
    147's no kidding.

  9. I just had slide crack at c 25,000 rounds, but STI going to replace slide   [emoji4]

You will have to replace some parts, but don't know why an OPEN gun won't
last as long as a Limited gun ....    [emoji144]
My sti slide cracked at 300 rounds lol. CK Arms will replace it of course........ I guess sti had a batch of slides that the steel was to hard and brittle and prone to cracking.

  10. It’s fantastic. I would guess over 20,000 cycles on it. Loading .40, .223, 300 blk. Converting 300blk brass and process 223 brass. I’ve only broken 1 indexing ring, and 1 case inserter cam thing return spring, and those parts may have just been worn out prior to the M7. Swaging obviously sucks. That’s the only downfall, but that’s the nature of the 650.

    Thanks!

At least parts are cheap and easy to get with the 650.

What kind of rounds per hour can you get doing .40 with that top slow down on while maintaining reliable operation? Can it do 1000rph?

  11. The thing that really impresses me about the X5 compared to all other polymer guns is how well balanced it is. Because of this fact, the recoil feels less on it than any other polymer that I've ever experienced.
That's the benifits of the weights in the grip and the bull barrel. Gun weighs 35oz most polymer guns weigh around 25oz.
