  1. I've been in the process of coating all of my pistols to Cerakote and I really like the new Elite Cerakote as far as initial quality of finish goes. I will repost any durability issues later. Just now trying Elite series coatings as they are fairly new. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. From a glock 35 to 34 perspective I have found that in comparison of the 9mm factory barrel to the KKM 40-9mm conversion barrel the accuracy with freedom munitions 124gr 9mm and 115gr 9mm ammo is better with the KKM conversion barrel i have made shots out to 100 yards with not problem. 3. My Mossberg JM Pro 930 always runs fine. Although I have witnessed several that have issues. I run Winchester Super X 2 3/4" 6 Shot all of the time. 1 1/8 oz loads. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Try a pair of Surefire EP4's Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. A guy told me today that at at the gun show in Louisville, KY he picked up a new SW M&P in 40SW noncompetition model for 350.00
  6. Taran tactical innovations Best for glocks
  7. The Taran sights have a choice of red and green fiber optic rods that come with the sight set. Green is the most visible color to human eyes. You may like the red better so you get a choice. But .60 ? No sights are over a half an inch. iI measure these fiber optic rods at 0.040 inches The front sight width is 0.120 inches The sights work best on the Glock 34 and Glock 35 or any Glocks with longer slides. That said I use them on all glocks But I have nothing against Dawson I like Taran tatical for the involvement in 3-gun
  8. Watch Keith Garcia practice in his garage.
  9. Check out the Noveske NSR it is not too small once the panel kits are installed. With a 15 inch rail you will need 4 hand-stop panel kits. The panels increase the surface area and provide traction for your hand. The flat bottom works nicely with the the stops for barricade support.
  10. I personally cannot focus on the front site if the rear site also has fiber-optic rods in it I prefer a dark rear sight with the fiber optics on the front, it just seems more natural and it helps aid accuracy. Your eyes will become distracted with the fiber optics in the back and lose focus on the front sight and I've always been a stickler for focusing on the front sight with no distractions. So I prefer Taran tactical Glock sights. I know my split times are faster now that I'm using these sights.
  11. True Colt in 1994 made crap. Then Stag wasn't around. My buddy still has regrets from buying a Colt for it still has failures to feed. I suppose Colt had to get better feed ramps by now.
  12. I run the BCM MOD A44 Ambi dexterous models and its around 65-70 bucks. It handles alot of hard charges and no ill effects. I have not tried the raptor.
  13. Yea JP 3-gun model lol How about that Really the three gun models DPMS makes really? I was told by competition shooters at Camp Perry to stay away from that company as some parts tend to break. Maybe as consumer I don't care who sponsors three gun matches I'm not a sponsored shooter. I'm gonna buy parts and guns from quality companies like Noveske, JP, and Troy, Magpul not DPMS. Sorry but stag, armalite, DPMS Colt I've seen those guns have problems over the years with feeding failures to feed so I tend to stay away from those guns I don't care Who sponsors what, that's great that they sponsor three gun I'm happy for You. I love 3 gun but give me a good JP rifle anytime or Noveske, Black Rain all great guns. The others are Mid to bottom of the line, my opinion.
  14. I was told by Keith Garcia that he uses cardboard round discs and cardboard Squares hot glued to the small cardboard bases and he sets some up in and shoots in his garage with airsoft in the winter time seems like that would work to me
  15. How many vendors are there? Im looking to buy several items that I need. My shooting buddy and I were thinking about driving down saturday morning if there are any vendors at the match. Any info would be appreciated.
  16. I like the idea of airsoft in the winter. Does anyone know of some brand name recommendations for fast splits.
  17. I have bought the JP LMOS and the JP captured spring unit since my last post. I had problems with failure to lock back with 223 Rem. and 5.56 mm at first. I always start one shot at a time for safety. This in my opinion is park of the breaking in process for these parts. The bolt carrier would not lock however it did eject. Tried a dozen shots or so. Then I hooked up my 300 Blackout upper to this lower and fired one shot at a time and within 5 rounds it was locking back with no more problems. The extra recoil from the 300 BLK upper with pistol gas system did it. Plus this 300 BLK upper had no muzzle brake only the AAC BLACKOUT 3 prong suppressor mount FLASH HIDER, thus more kick. Switched uppers back to 5.56 mm upper and no more problems. This worked on my buddies JP silent captured spring on his problem lower as well. These were all new AR-15 units and bought at the same time. Shot in guns with with and without JP muzzle brakes it made no difference. He had zero problems with the AR-10 unit. So an alternative method if you experience any problems might be to take out the scs and cycle the unit with your hands several times before shooting any more shots then Lube it with KG4 or tetra gun oil. Reassemble. Or shoot it with a 300 BLK upper one shot at a time till it starts locking back.
  18. Glock 35 40sw trigger housing has to be changed out to a glock 34 9mm housing for the ejector. The extractor in the slide does not. The difference is in the diameter of the cases. Reason is the angle of the bend on the ejector has to be moved in for 9mm cases or else they wont eject and you thus have fte's Do not ever use a 9mm ejector on 40sw as this ejector rod is bend in further and wiil come close to middle where the primer is. You also need 9mm glock 34 recoil springs I use the 40 to 9mm KKM barrel, which this is as close to a 9mm bull barrel as you can get using a Glock 35.
  19. Just shooting my Glock 35 40sw to 9mm conversion yesterday, factory ammo. No misfires no ftf nothing shot perfect. Kkm barrel, 9mm ejector gen 4 9mm glock factory springs. So i say do it build it shoot it.
  20. So will there be any Vendors like there were at AR15.com? And A list of them would be real nice.
  21. IMHO it seems that the JP spring system is not helping but instead introducing new variables to troubleshoot in the future. I get it and now there is zero advantage but i have introduced a new point of possible failure. If you have a variable gas block and the LMOS you are good to go those two are all you would need. At the most just use a light buffer in the receiver extension.
