  1. You should have heard the BS lines she gave. - Our policy not to give a printed label - We don't have a way to give you a printed label - We are at the mercy of our supplier on what parts get sent - The $10 included a tracker - I checked with service and they said the reds "should" work If you know anything about any of the above... Hogwash! I sent it back on my dime. In the future I will go to great lengths and possibly even used to avoid them! At any rate it's a $16 loss for nothing. To top it all off I looked at the replacement follower and it's a dull finish unlike the Hunter follower. Many of the replacement parts aren't as expected it seems.
  2. Classic EAA. They won't give me a paid label with RMA #. On top of that they charged me $10 for a $5.15 USPS shipper and had the weight on the invoice marked 4 lbs. Yea... Okay! I seriously need to find another source for all Tanfoglio parts.
  3. The ladies and EAA generally flat out suck! I asked for "Black" "K10" followers and this is what showed up > These shouldn't be on my dime to send back. I don't even think the reds will work with my K10's!
  4. I have a theory on what happened here. I think the slide stop moved out a little and caught the follower upon travelling backwards on the outside edge. The day this happened, I shot a bunch of high end stuff! Deepening that groove will allow the spring to sit deeper in the stop metal and not move. In looking at the stop the way it comes from the factory the groove doesn't seem real deep and especially for high impulse stuff. I ran all those big rounds today and it didn't budge.
  5. Flawless today! The stop didn't budge, no mag issue and the slide locked back on every empty magazine. I think the stop on the way will be a spare. Just have to change that one bad follower.
  6. Like was mentioned it looked like my slide stop was bent some. It could have happened when the whole mess started. My info from EAA showed the parts didn't ship until Friday, but I have Chronograph testing to do today. I decided to put a new K10 mag in and work the slide stop. I put the round end in the vice and gave the slide stop end one whack with a dead-blow plastic hammer. It bent it back just enough to be a couple of thousands from frame contact: I took a triangular file and deepened the trench some for more positive engagement of the retaining spring that holds the stop in as well: It feels tight, no malfunctions and I'm ready to roll!
  7. I sent pictures to Henning showing the limited stop to follower contact. He said he might do an extended version and if that's the case I want the ability to do a file-to-fit on it.
  8. I ordered 5 followers ($5/ea) and a slide stop ($36) from EAA. I'm thinking my slide stop wasn't staying in the way it should. Did I not order enough parts? Maybe another spring or make the trench deeper?
  9. Can you ask if the Xtreme Match will be offered in 10mm?
  10. If someone here has the tools and can weld/fit about 1/8" extension onto the end I will send all four of mine.
  11. Picture of the engagement with the slide off Unacceptable!
  12. Through trials tonight I found it. I pulled the Hunter stop Hunter and Limited stops The Hunter stop looks a little weathered but swapping them did nothing. The slide still wouldn't lock back! I tried another K10 magazine and back to normal. At that point I looked inside to see what was going on as I pulled the slide back. What I saw was the pin being pushed out some allowing the stop to not catch. That and just not enough tension on the stop from the follower to engage it! It looks like something caused wear or movement in the follower and a nice ridge on the side. Does the Hunter stop look too bad? As you can see more engagement on the follower would really help. Does anyone make a 1/8" longer one? This might be a piece for Henning!
  13. The only thing holding the release in is a spring that sits in a recess?
  14. Haven't touched it since I bought it. If I push the stop in it wiggles back out after 1-2 slide cycles. The slide doesn't lock back as well.
  15. They both might possibly be related. For some reason the slide stop was popping out about 1/8" or so. I would have to push it back in about every three shots. I also had an issue with the trigger not resetting. I would have to push it back forward with my finger. My plan is to tear it down this upcoming weekend to inspect and clean. Anything come to mind?
  16. I think it wouldn't be real hard other than figuring which is best suited. The stock or Henning cone guide-rod could probably be used with a 22lb Wolff spring. The current kits out there use a Storm Lake barrel which we would need. As for the compensator that could get tricky unless you figure out the kit supplier.
  17. Guess I will have to wait on Henning. I'm just a fan of no lettering or images on the panels.
  18. The RIA has a bull barrel and some neat features. I had a Dan Wesson Razorback and sold it to buy a Limited. It's heavier in the front which I hated in the Razorback being light. It also didn't digest 220's well but not my EAA pieces. You can also look at a Match because it has a lot of front end heft. You may also want to look at a Kimber, Nighthawk or Wilson Combat as well. Me personally I like the Witness pieces and the capacity. I will never own a 1911 again.

  20. I should have stated long slide with standard. The Wolff site doesn't show the 22lb but Midway carries them. I think it's overkill in the Hunter but use 22's in my 4.75" pistols.
